Service, service, service... I don't understand why business owners can't understand bad service can bankrupt you?? In combination with overpriced plates... There was no "hi" "welcome" or even "how many people?" This person came upfront grabbed two menu's looked at us and said: "here" as he walked away... So we followed, same person put the menu's on the table 360° and walked away..... But wait, there is more... Second person showed up to the table (about 5-7 minutes later, regular time, not customer time) put chips and salsa on the table and guess what... 360° turned around no word out of her mouth... 15-20 minutes in we have our server!!! :) Yeah, not that fast... She was on a rush, looks like everyone was in a rush.. (plenty of empty tables too) 3tacos some rice and a beans $10 --- 10 bucks for 3 tacos... Yup Our second round of beers... Expired since August last year... They had no more so we moved on to another kind for the very last round and left... No, I can't recommend this place... Food was ok, we did not felt...
Read moreFood was very good, service was not. It seems they are understaffed and not well coordinated. (Note) I was there for a birthday party, so the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. It didn't ruin the queso, in fact I still enjoyed it overall, but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped.
However, when I received my entree, the Special Dinner, it more than made up for it. It's served on 2 seperate, large plates, and every item on it is fantastic. It was great for trying a variety of items on the menu and tasted delicious as well. The mojito I ordered was also tasty, very bright and fresh which paired well with the heavier food.
I absolutely recommend El Charro to anyone looking to eat at a great...
