SUMMARY: Authentic and delicious middle eastern food and hookah! My in-laws took my wife and I to this amazing Middle Easter restaurant for lunch yesterday 10/09 and the whole experience made me feel like I was visiting the Middle East (my in laws are Lebanese)! The atmosphere was decorated with cultural integrity and the food was mouth watering good! The staff was also extremely friendly and our server was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who’s looking for authentic Middle Eastern food!
ATMOSPHERE: The decor seemed to have been culturally authentic from the music to the seating and even the art. The entire restaurant was made to give the customer an immersive Middle Eastern experience. Beautiful decorations! Feedback: I would highly recommend fixing the banner sign outside (missing an “A”) to ensure customers are getting a clean and positive experience from the moment they park their cars.
FOOD: Delicious delicious delicious! We shared the Kaza Maza Mashawi Barbeque and the Chicken Sharhat Mutafayeh between 5 of us and it was more than enough food to go around! The fatoosh salads were fresh and mixed perfectly. The kabobs and chicken were cooked perfectly. The dips were amazing especially the mama ghanouse! The cherry on top was that they had a separate smoking room where you could have hookah while you’re eating your meal which, according to my in-laws, is a very common thing in Lebanon. All in all, If they say it’s an authentic experience, I 100% believe them!
STAFF: Our sever was spot on. He was kind and welcoming. He spoke both Arabic and English which was a plus because my in laws all speak Arabic and I don’t. He was accurate and timely with all the...
Read moreMy friend and I were there today. We ordered the salad and lamb shank. Both if which were brought at the table at the same time. Generally we have to wait for the shank because it is being cooked in the oven. We found a hair in the salad and showed it ti the manager. She protested at first but then apologized We said the food was not freshly cooked, meaning it was cooked in the morning and heated over and served to us. As we were leaving we got the bill and saw that we had to pay for the salad. When we questioned that, the owner (who was not in the place in the beginning) was extremely rude to us and wouldn't listen to our explanation and insisted we pay for everything. He had the gumption of saying that we did not have the money and that is why we were making the excuse. At this time the brother of the owner arrived and told us to get out of the restaurant and never come back ever again. We said we would report him to the health department and he said he didn't care. At this stage the manager came out and apologized profusely and explained the whole situation to the owner. Now the owner was a bit sheepish, but still did not apologize. I used to enjoy Kaza Maza ar one time, but will never go back again. The food was cold, the service was bad, the salad had hair which the owner said we planted when neither of us had short hair. We insisted on paying the bill but the manager would not let us. We left a tip for waitress who I think was newly hired and left with a bad taste, never going...
Read moreI've met the chef about a year ago when things were calmer, looks like they have changed their lead waiter or front facing customer service person. He seems sharp and very attentive to the customers needs.
The food was good Alhamdullilah, had two farooj (grilled chicken) pre-ordered since these take awhile (NOTE: call 30mins before arriving if you intend to have the grilled whole chicken!). The spring chickens were juicy, nice char to the skin and the rice that came with it was flavorful with small chunks of tomatoes and carrots embedded. Always ask for the spicy sauce (gives a good kick and sourness to the dish) and of course don't forget plenty of garlic sauce to dip the chicken. A surprising find was their falafel which was crispy, wholesome and really good when complemented with the hummus.
My only criticism is to be bold and be brave to be truly a halal restaurant and no BYOB. They entertained people who bring their own wine bottle and even provided them with champagne glasses. Remember, “The halal (lawful) is clear and the haram (prohibited) is clear. Stay on the halal side and the business will be showered...
