My wife and I went here for dinner. I have to think that all these five star reviews are fake. There is noooooooooo way this place would ever get five stars. Ever. From anyone. The service was TERRIBLE. The atmosphere terrible. We gave it a chance because this place was recommended by a coworker who had been going for years. I asked him if I should make a reservation…he said in the ten years he had been going he had only once or twice made a reservation. We walked in we were ignored for about 15 minutes. There were three other people in the restaurant. When the bartender finally asked us if they could help we said: “table for two?” She said “it’s going to be a while”. The restaurant was empty… after standing around looking bewildered as to why? We almost left and then we were finally seated….in an almost empty dining room. (we were there for almost two hours total and only one other family for four were seated) After about twenty minutes they came to take our order. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a white wine. About ten minutes later they brought bread….no drinks…fifteen minutes later they brought our drinks. We tried to order but the waitress said they would be right back. She took so long we had finished our drinks by the time she came back. We finally ordered and and asked for refills. Well…..given what we had experienced it was exactly what you would think. Watery tomato sauce on top of box pasta. Also they never brought us more drinks. I had to flag down the waitress to ask a third time for refill on my wife’s wine! We ate some of the food and didn’t take leftovers. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Skip all the reviews too. Save your money. To be honest I don’t even want to give this place a second chance. It’s just not worth it. Are all these people leaving five star reviews eating cardboard and chef boyardee for dinner!? Is that why they think this place is good!? I am just...
Read moreI'm sorry folks, I'm just not seeing it. There are sooo many other places in the area that are soo much better. Let's start when my family walked in, 1.) We were looked at strange and questioned because we didn't make a reservation. 2.) We ordered soda, all 3 were flat. 3.) Placed an order for 2 chicken soups, she asked if we wanted grated cheese, we said yes please, we never got it. ( we were the only people in there) 4.) People started to show up, they were sat behind us, they has specials read to them.. We never heard about them or knew there was "specials" 5.) Our food started to come out... They gave us oil/bread.. The oil was amazing (flavor wise) 6.) Our "salad" came out... It's shredded lettuce you would get on a sandwich... It all fit on a teacup dish.. 7.) Our main courses came out... I gotta say, their sauce/gravy was very good.. however I ordered Ravioli with baked cheese over it.. it was plain with no cheese... 8.) Waitress asked if we needed anything boxed, we said we were all set with thanking the leftovers home and she brought us the check.. no " are we all set for dessert" she just brought a check.. perhaps bc we were usual customers? I dunno.. Think about it.. We are all fist time customers at one point... Needless to say, never going there again.. and it's a shame to because I love trying these small places because the money usually goes to families not big CEOs of large companies with fancy cars.. Thx...
Read moreI have drove by this spot over 1000 time didn't think twice about stopping. But yesterday a couple of ours wanted us to join them for dinner so we agreed. Limited parking and Older building not a lot of tables. Interior design out dated.. but from the time we walked in the staff makes you feel right at home.. limited drink menu with some beer and wines only.. not staffed well but the staff that was there were warm and welcoming. The process was slow but all patrons there fine with it.. wife had grilled salmon and vegs. I have filet mignon. My friends had cheese ravioli and filet mignon. And we had some apps that was Italian based and was good the salad was freshly made. The food came out and grill salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly cheese ravioli and sauce was home made. And the filet mignon was season and cooked perfectly. Chef came out and introduced himself. Chef/owner and dishwasher as he joked around. For hole in the wall Italian food was absolutely delicious. And home made tiramisu to finish the night was refreshing. The entire evening from seated to severed to getting the Bill was about 1 1/2. Prices...
