Fiesta Jalapenos — Restaurant in North Ridgeville

I'm actually in disbelief how horrible this place was. Starting by walking in, we were not greeted. The menu didn't make sense, taco dishes in 3 different sections, 2 separate options for guacamole that we were told were the same, etc. The layout was just confusing. We order the La Bomba Nachos and they were not good. Lettuce was on top making them soggy, chicken was chewy and the runny cheese sauce was on the bottom making it difficult to eat. We also ordered a Pina colada which they seem to have forgotten about because we had to ask about it again 20 minutes later (waiter sparsely checked on us). It tasted watery. When the owner walking around stopped by we said we weren't happy with service and he said he wants to make it better. 20 something minutes after that and we were brought a fried ice cream on the house, but mind you we still haven't even received our entrees. We had waited 45 minutes to an hour at this point and we told them to cancel the main dishes as we weren't enjoying the experience and just wanted to leave. A few minutes later they brought out 2 of them anyway. Now we get that they were probably close to or almost finished at that point, but we just wanted to leave. We told them this and they sent over a different waiter/supervisor who argued with is that it hadn't been that long and it was one of our faults for arriving late. One of us arrived 10 minutes after the rest, but even accounting for approx 20 minutes after they arrived it had still been an hour at that point. We said we would pay even though we didn't want it but now they were just lying trying to minimize the situation so we asked to talk to the owner. We waited an additional 10 MINUTES just for him to come over, which got to the point we just wanted to walk out from being ignored. We had to get another waiter to remind them that we were here. He finally came over saying we HAVE TO pay for the food we didn't even touch, including the 3rd entree we never received at all, and said he didn't come over because "as you can see we are busy" very condescendingly. They were not busy enough that the owner couldn't come over. The manager then threatened us saying we could pay or he'll call the cops. Reminder, we SAID we would pay, but at this point, this was ridiculous. The owner just kept arguing blaming us saying he would call the cops. At one point he accused us of PLANNING THIS since he first came over. Mind you this whole time we were level headed and spoke politely, we were not rude at all aside from saying we no longer wanted our entrees until he threatened to call the police. We eventually told him to call the cops and we'd talk to them. Finally as we planned to wait for the police we went up to pay for the food we DID eat with the receipt and at that point the lady ringing us out told us he decided not to call the police. The owner was extremely unprofessional and the food was just not good. This experience was unbelievable and I wouldn't recommend...

This is the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. The owner is rude, dishonest, and threatened to call the cops on us because we didn't want to eat our entrees. It took over 45 minutes to receive our food, then the owner and server tried to argue with us that it was somehow our fault. After nearly an hour of waiting, we simply didn't want to eat there anymore and didn't want our entrees. This is all on top of the fact that the food we did eat was terrible. The quesadilla was a soggy mess, the chips looked like they had been haphazardly dumped onto a plate, and the pina colada had to be eaten with a spoon (if I had even been given one) due to how poorly it was mixed. The servers basically ignored our table, despite us treating them politely, and it was nearly impossible to flag anyone down. When we did have enough and ask for the manager because one of the cooks tried telling us it was our fault our food took so long, he didn't even get to our table for another 10 minutes. Not to mention, we sat down and ordered within 10 minutes of getting there, and they repeatedly tried to lie and say we took over half an hour to order, which is simply untrue. We ended up paying for all the food we ate, despite the owners attempts to escalate the situation and get the police involved. Overall, I simply can't recommend anyone eat here. There are plenty of other, better Mexican restaurants around the area that don't treat customers like garbage. I'm willing to bet the owner will try to debunk what I'm saying, too, despite it predominantly being his fault due to his passive-aggresive, dishonest, threatening demeanor that lead to this situation in the first place. Blaming customers for your own failures of service? Threatening the cops for food we didn't even touch? Insulting my appearance and trying to spin everything to avoid any responsibility? Shame on you. I've seen and met plenty of owners and managers, and you are the worst I've ever met. So go ahead and lie in response to this like you most certainly will, or just post one of those heartless pre-made messages in response since you can't even be bothered to care what the...

This is a hard review to write because I've Loved this place for so long however, since new owners have taken over many things have changed. It's definitely not the same place as it's been in the past! The prices have gone up, the portions and service has definitely gone down. The time that you spend in that restaurant is absolutely ridiculous! I used to be able to come in order my food pay the bill and get out in a very short amount of time however now seems like that same period takes well over an hour. The last several times we were there I think it was pushing more than an hour and a half. Kind of ridiculous for a Mexican restaurant. At some point I'll be back and I'd love to rate it five stars like it was originally but a lot of things are going to have to change before that happens.

Update...

Now rating this as a one star. Decided to give this place one more try so we stopped in on Taco Tuesday. The crowd was very light, many open tables. Sat down immediately but waited quite a while before someone came over and took our food/drink order. We ordered a couple of drinks and four tacos... two beef and two chicken, the only toppings were lettuce and cheese; it took over 40 minutes to get our food. My order was completely wrong. They took it back and brought me another order... that was wrong as well. finally, the third time they got it right. During that whole debacle, I ordered another beer. Ironically, that came out wrong (ordered Bud light they gave me Modelo) however, I just drank it. We start to eat and the chicken on my wife's taco was completely ice cold, not room temperature cold but like the chicken was pulled out of the freezer/refrigerator and never warmed it up. At this point we just gave up and asked for a couple of to go containers and the bill. Now at this point I'm shaking my head because the bill was wrong. My wife ordered the sangria and they charged us for a margarita $10 overcharge not to mention they charged me for Modelo instead of Bud light. Took another 10-15 minutes to straighten that out.
