Chuck & Irene's — Restaurant in North Township

Was excited to make this our half way pit stop on our trip so we could watch the Iowa/Indiana basketball game. I mean we are in Indiana. Some reviews said it is a sports bar, it's not. When we walked in we asked if she could turn the game on (they do have 5 TVs and there was only one other person in there), first she said she didnt think they got the big 10 network. She did find the game and turned it on but left it muted so the bartender could play her juke box on maxed out volume. We left before the end of the game because we were forced out. As many times as she passed while looking at our empty glass and beer bottle she refused to ask if we wanted another. This bar it’s ok just the area, so the bar thats there when you look upstairs it’s abandoned. I don’t know if it’s being remodeled, or what. What I do know it was uncomfortable pulling in to the place, but the bartender was pretty cool. The bathroom was downstairs that was even more uncomfortable for me especially with these knees I got I can’t be doing that up & down stairs drinking beer pissing like a race horse. The bartenders think that they are much more good looking than they actually are ...very pretentious.. The fact they shove shots in plastic shooters is all I need to say about this Hill Billy dive bar that a attracts nothing but inbreads. The miscellaneous Hispanic gentleman that walks to the bar with a cooler full of tamales is probably the best attraction. I highly recommend this place for cheap drinks in a good laugh.. They also have icehouse on special which is very amusing Considering they claim to be more appealing than 3 Floyds brewery in Munster. You have to visit...
