Latin bliss — Restaurant in North Township

First off, this place isn't really a restaurant. It's a carry-out place that caters to the bar that it's connected to. My mom wanted to try this place because she's on this nextdoor neighbor app, someone that works there hypes up their food. Parking was full, because of the bar next door. Having two tables in the front, is not a restaurant. I didn't want to eat there, but my mom was hungry. The owner put the t.v. on, and had a movie going. Not that I needed to watch TV. The menu is pretty big. I had flautas, because it's hard to mess that up anywhere. My mom had a fried shrimp dinner. Both our dinners had choice of two sides. I picked street corn, and a macaroni salad. The street corn was gross, it was frozen corn, with melted butter, juice at the bottom with some cheese. -That's not street corn. The Mac salad was bland. Plain and simple, the food is WAY OVER PRICED for the quality. Hence why it's bar food. The owner maybe a nice guy. But he did a lot of hovering, during the meal, and especially when I paid the check. Like he waited for me to sign the credit card slip. Was I supposed to tip the owner? Or not? It was just plain awkward. Would never order from...

Decided to try the seafood on a Friday during Lent. Wasn't impressed. Maybe they were busy. Ordered a pound of Fish & Chips. Got a pound of fish. No chips. Why is it called Fish and Chips if you get no chips? Fish was okay. Tater tots we ordered were not crispy at all. Crab cakes were mushy.

Update: Decided to give Latin Bliss another chance and ordered some food for my mom. Just picked up a half pound dinner of ocean perch. Thought the price on the menu was pretty high ($13.95) for ocean perch but ordered it anyway. When they rang me up it came to $18.31. I had to look to see if they hadn't given me a whole pound. But no, it was a half pound. When I showed the cashier the menu which clearly stated the dinner was $13.95, she said it must've been an old menu and that's how it rang up on the register. If that's true and there was a price increase, then change the price on the 50 menus that you have there in your carryout area. On top of that, when I got home, I realized they shorted me fifty cents on my change. RIPPED OFF!! Food wise - once again the food was mediocre. I've had much better fish elsewhere. I will not...

I went to Latin Bliss for the 1st time recently, and it was my last. The food was not that great, and it was ridiculously expensive, definitely not worth the price. While waiting for my order, an employee popped open a beer, came to sit by me, and was rambling on about jail, fights, and other things. I'm a nice person and was trying to be nice, but I was uncomfortable. Then he even followed me out when I was leaving. I was disappointed in the service, and my whole family was not happy...
