Koroke Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in North Township

I stopped by this place because a few a few people had given it rave reviews. I was literally driving by, and was like nope! The place on the outside looks very dated. But I decided to give it a try anyway. We pulled up, walked in, looked around, took a few pictures, was approached by a guy who was very protective to say the least of the owner. He was just come to find out a regular. He questioned my motives! Which made me a little leery of wanting to stay. But then the owner gave me a menu, told me to take my time, and even explained some of the menu items. I was very impressed by the customer service. I was super impressed by the cleanliness of the inside. I was extremely appreciative of the fact that they all wore gloves and masks and did continuous hand washing regardless of who was watching. The inside of this facility was completely immaculate. Which goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover!!! Now to get down to the nitty-gritty of the food! I chose a few different options and to go into each of them in detail would take entirely too long but everything I tried was to perfection! I will have to say I was so so overwhelmed with the taste, quality, freshness, and the visual appeal of the food! I have been to so many upscale places that cannot even compare to the simple dishes at this restaurant! Not to mention the complex ones! I swear this is totally the best find of the year for me! I’ve been looking for a place like Koroke for years! Not only is it very close to my house but the service is really great and the food is even better. We’ve gone back four times now this month and I haven’t been disappointed once. Our favorites so far have been the Beauty & The Beast Maki (with the Snowman maki a close second- and I’m no sushi fan either!) and the beef lo mein. The pad Thai was also delicious but it did not beat the flavor or texture of the lo mein noodles. However, beware that both of these dishes lasted me THREE meals! They do NOT skimp on the portions! Both noodle dishes also came with ginger salad (so good!) and miso soup (good but just so-so).

The variety this place offers is endless and my family has yet to be disappointed! Excited to try the rest of the items on the menu- we will be coming back again and again.

UPDATE: We went back again and I have to say that the Mongolian beef is definitely my favorite item on the menu so far. I got the mild spicy and probably could have done medium spicy but the beef was so tender, with the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Definitely the best Mongolian beef I’ve ever had. If I could give a negative star, I would. This was the best Asain resturant around, I am a frequent buyer. I was told upon delivery order, thank you and the order went through. I then called back to see the status of the order and they informed me they canceled my order, but the lady answering the phone didn't know why. I then spoke to a male that said "we tried swiping your card and wouldn't go through." When asking why I didn't receive a call, they had no concern. Knowing I had enough money to cover the bill he said, " I don't know, maybe not enough money on your card." I then I said would pay cash, can I reorder my delivery order the male said no, we will not take your order tonight. It's 830 pm, was informed they close at 930. Not sure why I could not place an order but this was the worst service I've ever experienced from them.
