Strack & Van Til 9632 Clyne Ave. Highland, IN 46322 Double count your change at counter. I've had groceries purchased in (rounded) value of $10. I gave to cashier $50 bill. She gave me one $20 bill and two $5 bills. When I made remark I am short 10 dollars, SHE CLAIMED i GAVE 2 X $20 BILLS. I was put on hold until they had time to do recounting of total business activity in order to find out if I was wright or wrong. I was standing 25 minutes in order to get my lousy 10 dollars. Standing on side of the cashier area I felt like I was guilty of something. At the end after they recounted all, store manager (I think) came to tell me I was wright. At that point I asked for groceries, I was holding in my hand all the time, to be free of charge do to my frustration, embarrassment and time wasted. I could not believe reaction of the store manager. After looking in my shopping bag which had a milk, carton of 12 eggs and 7 brad hot dog rolls, he asked me if I could except 12 pack of bottled water instead. I felt as he is talking me as to homeless person who needs a clean bottle of water. My response was, I did not come to purchase a water. At that point I refused to do any purchase and asked to have my $50 back. CONCLUSION: If the grocery purchase was $10. Why would I give to cashier two $20 bills? One $20 bill would be enough. It makes common sense which even the store manager did not care to accept but had made me to wait all that time and me feeling...

Read moreI have been shopping here for over ten years. I made a catering order for my sons birthday and they messed up. I did not receive the grilled chicken that I paid for. I ended up picking up 2 boxes of food and it had 3 labels on it. I thought they must of added the fried and grilled chicken together. When I got home I saw I was shorted the grilled chicken. I called the deli they were extremely rude and said they handed me the grilled chicken in the bag and then they said they couldn't even find my order and I must of ordered from some where else. I ended up having to take my label in from the box. They gave me the chicken then but no apology! This was very inconvenient since I had my sons birthday party starting. I had to go back and wait in the deli line and wait for them to get the chicken ready. Then when I was leaving with the chicken they thought I was walking out without paying for it. WOW I CANT BELIEVE THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE DELI. I will never get catering from this store again. I honestly wont be shopping here ever again. They didn't even apologize and then had the nerve to give me an attitude. I would of spoken to the manager but I didn't have time since my sons party already started by the time I went back...
