Not entirely thrilled with my Sunday experience.
The staff was nice enough at 1st until we asked to purchase a second cup of ice cream for my daughter. My daughter waited to purchase this cup with absolutely no employees in sight behind the counter, I eventually started to look up the phone number to call to get somebody out there because there was no bell on the counter when a young man appeared and started to take her order. the young men behind the counter asked about a ticket and when we didn't immediately understand what he was saying he asked if we had already paid. We told him that yes we paid, we were trying to buy a new cup.
the exchange was unnecessarily hostile because I had the unmitigated nerve to not understand what he asking the first time. I don't need to be made to feel stupid when I'm trying to spend my hard-earned money somewhere and don't understand a question.
Then my other daughter apparently had the nerve to ask to buy a basket of fried pickles , after waiting for 10 minutes my daughter asked for them "To-Go" and the reply from the young lady working there who had been sitting with some family for quite a long time was that they had been looking for the pickles for 10 minutes and I commented that if "they didn't have pickles and they weren't going to tell her that was not okay" that exchange was unnecessarily snippy.
This is the 1st time my family has had a problem here, but I can pay less for poor service...
Read moreSerenDIPity Ice Cream Parlor I do not agree with there being employees behind the counter thee entire time as I was facing your work area. And I know for a fact you can keep tickets opened as my husband didnt know that at the time. The male employee did come off rather rude like I hadn't already purchased our ice cream. I was made to feel like I was a theif. The female employee was also rude when it came to the pickle chips. I for a fact know pickle chips only take 2-3 minutes to cook in oil so a 7 minute wait is still excessive. The pickle chips were sitting there for 4 minutes before they were served. I understand if they were having trouble finding them then communicat. I'm so sorry but communication goes a long way. I understand the employees may be new and might be there first job but to be made to feel like a theif is not ok by any means.
For you to deny everything my husband posted is not ok either. I stand behind my husbands review. I will try your parlor again but hope for better experience as all my other...
Read moreOur family is excited to have an icecream parlor for family treats. We ordered a Birthday Cake hand dipped shake, a Blue Panda dippity cone and two other cones that got eaten before we could take a picture! The icecream is VERY rich and creamy.
The young staff was friendly and quick to serve us on a Thursday evening.
The facility is extremely clean and has a fun vibe to it. The dipped icecream labels are low for kids and wheelchair users to see, thank you! Speaking of which, there is an ADA restroom and handicap parking nearby. A wheelchair user may need assistance with the door, but other guests usually oblige.
The location is tucked behind Meyers Heating Co, north of Main St. on Griffith Blvd, west of Broad St....a great stop for Erie Lackawanna Trail users...you can't miss the big ice cream...
