Shrimp Shack — Restaurant in North Township

I don't know why this place has such a high rating. The food is nothing to brag about and the service is terrible. I drove 30 minutes home to find out the peach cobbler I ordered wasn't in the bag. When my husband called to tell them about it, the woman on the phone had a "I'm right and you can't tell me otherwise" attitude. Stating that they had a "check your bag before you leave" policy. We have nothing to gain from lying about a simple cobbler and was willing to make the commute back. After restating that the cobbler was not in the bag, and the woman being hesitant almost arguing with him, she agreed to give me him the cobbler if he went back. When my husband returned, he was greeted with a terrible attitude from both the woman and the man working behind the counter. After much debate, we were refunded our money for the cobbler. Overall terrible experience, poor food quality, and absurd customer service. No seasoning on the wings, or shrimp, and the fries are soggy! The butter cookies hard, and oh yeah a missing cobbler that we were accused of lying about. Save your money, go...

On last Friday like I’ve done many Fridays for the past three or four years I placed my order for a large perch, spaghetti, french fries a container of hot sauce and a container of mild sauce over the phone. 15 to 20 minutes later I went to pick up my order and came home and decided to indulge myself in my Friday treat. I noticed that the fish was not quite fried as hard as it usual but I went on and thought I would enjoy it. Well the next day it came up and it came out and I was diagnosed with food poisoning. I want to make the reader of this note that I have gone to this business for many years and have never experienced that. But once you experience it, you never go back. I’ve also noticed that the service has changed a bit that didn’t seem to bother me, but to be to get a meal that I’m not able to enjoy and be sick for the past week it’s not something I’m willing to deal with so- BOO THUMBS DOWN SHRIMP SHACK from a very Loyal ...

I purchased a pound of catfish nuggets and also a shrimp dinner to go. The sides were Cajun rice and french fries. The only thing that was edible with some joy or pleasure was the french fries. The Cajun rice was tasteless and dry, Shrimps were under cooked and Tasted terrible, and catfish nuggets they were tasteless also. As a result, I threw 3/4 of the meal away. That was a $24 waste. I would not recommend this place for a dog. They must have had their family rated them 4.2 stars. For sure, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone ... take a pass on...
