Unfortunately the coffee flight made us sick and the owners were dismissive regarding their part in it.

My wife and I stopped in for a coffee treat and ordered a coffee flight and a pistachio latte. The flight took over 20min to receive while the latte took less than 5 which was off putting to see many others getting their drinks as we waited, but we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere as we waited.

We drank the flight in house and took the larger latte to go. Within 30min of leaving our stomachs were terribly upset we had to pull over to use the bathroom urgently. This has been on going and it’s almost 24hrs later. My wife and I had not ate for hours prior to this and we had not shared any other food on this day.

I emailed the company to make them aware of the issue, suggest possible sources for them to look into so others don’t get ill and request a refund of my almost $30 order.

They responded quickly saying that they have never received a complaint and the health department loves them so it couldn’t be their fault and if they were to do anything about it they would be admitting fault so they will not be doing anything about it. There was no mention of checking dates or cleaning equipment in the email I received though they claim to have done this in their response to my honest review. It’s extremely disappointing to see a company so unconcerned about an issue that could affect many when presented with one. I also feel it’s very easy to never receive a complaint when you refuse to accept them. Needless to say as cute as this place is I will not...

Brought kids in for ice cream. No one else was in the restaurant. The young man serving us was taking orders. A young lady at the cash register wanted me to check out while the young man was continuing to take our orders, so I walked over to the cash register and told her five smalls and one regular.I payed and tipped. While I am standing there waiting for him to complete our order, she tells me that I only paid for four smalls and one large. I apologized that she didn’t understand and was getting out my credit card to pay. Then she asked the young man what he heard me say and he said that I ordered four and not five. It was extremely rude to suggest I was trying not to pay for my ice cream. We were a party of six and I spent over $30 for runny ice cream. I guess it was to much to ask for pleasant and polite service and not to be accused of stealing. There is a difference between apologizing and explaining she wrung up my order wrong and and two employees accusing me of stealing. Maybe they all three should stop gossiping and pay attention to...

Hiking the I&M Canal path, about 2½ weeks ago, my boyfriend and I arrived in Utica and we were immediately drawn to check out the small, charming downtown area. We had told ourselves we weren't going to buy anything today, but it was raining, it was time for a break, and we saw a sign that said milkshakes. We ended up getting a blueberry boba lemonade, which was absolutely incredible. It had little blueberry juice-filled bobas inside, yum. I also decided to get a java chip milkshake but I wanted a stronger coffee flavor, so I added a shot of espresso. We've had a lot of good food on our hike, but it's not often that we keep saying wow as we're enjoying it, and by the time we were done, we both applauded. We're still talking about those drinks two weeks later! I also saw that they have yogurt parfait cups, energy bites, and all kinds of other goodies I wanted to try. I will just have...

I recently visited Bruce & Ollie's, and it was an absolute delight! The decor is charming and cozy, with cute accents and comfortable sofas that make you want to stay and relax for hours. The ambiance is perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone. The coffee was outstanding, rich, and flavorful, easily one of the best I've had in a long time. Although I didn't get a chance to try the ice cream this time, it looked delicious, and I can't wait to go back and sample it on my next visit. Overall, Bruce & Ollie's offers a wonderful experience with its great coffee, inviting atmosphere, and delightful decor. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

What great little place to hangout with friends, or even by yourself. The staff is very friendly and helpful with assisting you with making the right choice with your ice cream flavor. The atmosphere is phenomenally relaxing and laid back. They have a good selecting of ice cream, teas, coffee and a couple of sandwiches. The place is nicely decorated and open with a counter, tables and some sofa chairs centered around the fireplace. They also have a small outdoor patio outside in back of the building as well as some additional seating options in front. I only had ice cream and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
