Drew Mena's is a restaurant and lounge on Lincoln Highway, North Versailles. I have been going there occasionally since they opened probably twenty-some years ago. It is a very nice place to go eat with your family, a date or to have a few cocktails with your friends. They have a nice size menu with choices of appetizers such as stuffed or breaded mushrooms, cheese sticks and soft pretzel sticks. They serve burgers, pizza, hot turkey or roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffed chicken breast, New York strip steak, shrimp, a variety of fish options and veal or chicken marsala. The stuffed pork chops and chicken breast are both very tasty. You have the option to either eat at the bar, in the dining room, or weather permitting, on the patio. Take out orders are also an option. It is a child friendly place and I am pretty sure they have high chairs. Food and drink prices are reasonable and the lounge has a variety of beer, wine and mixed drinks. Smokers will be happy to know that smoking in the lounge is permitted as there is a glass partition that separates the restaurant and bar. There is karaoke every Tuesday night and the kitchen is usually open until 1A.M each night except for Sunday. Drew's has a great juke box in the lounge and Wednesday night is free juke box night. The crowd can be any age on any given day, from 22 or so, to 100 years of age with most customers probably between 28 an 70 years of age. Many people also enjoy the wings they offer. They have different food specials each day of the week and during sporting events like football or hockey games. This restaurant and lounge is a very clean and tasteful place where most of the customers are very cool and friendly. The staff is first rate and the owners are very nice friendly people. There are both men and ladies restrooms in the dining room. This business is accessible to wheelchairs and there is plenty of free parking that includes spaces at the front door designated as handicapped parking. I definitely recommend this place to everyone of every age. The restaurant is very easily to located on Lincoln Highway between Valley Pools and...
Read moreWent here the other day and to say that it was a mixed bag would be an understatement. The positive, the wings and the fries were fantastic, I'd definitely like to order them again.
However, I don't think I'd really like to be in the restaurant again. It took roughly 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders. The menu listed Coke products, but their version of "cola" isn't Coke and tasted flat. The waitress informed us that it was a cola so I ordered a lemonade instead, and it still had a sour taste.
The food order took roughly 30 minutes and there were only two other tables, one of them were done with their meals when we got there so it was a very slow process. I'd maybe place a to-go order for a pick up, but I can't see myself sitting there for such an extended period of time to get wings and fries.
Finally, the atmosphere was absolutely atrocious. The previously mentioned table that finished their meals before we got there were very, very loud and obnoxious. They were the type that had to be loud enough that the entire building could hear their conversation. I know it's not the staff's fault, but I honestly would rethink dinner here again if that particular table are regulars.
Overall, I'd like to get the food again, but wouldn't want to spend any time in the restaurant. The food was good, but the service was very slow and the patrons...
Read moreTonight was my first time going to this place for a meal. Every time I drive by there, I'm usually running errands on my days off off which are Saturday and Sunday and they're always busy. Well I made up my mind to go there for dinner tonight after work and I now know why they're always busy! From start to finish, everything was excellent. The service, the food presentation, the quality of the food preparation, the cleanliness of the establishment and the level of exceptional, true TEAMWORK that I witnessed from staff was just an amazing and very pleasant dining experience. I've never been there before, so I'm not positive, but I believe that the gentleman I saw busing tables and seating new customers was the owner? I love seeing people who love doing what they do in their work because they do it so much from the heart and it makes all the difference in the customer service experience for anyone who walks through that door. They have a motto there. It's something like "no bad seat in the house". And that's so true because no matter where you sit you are just as important to the folks serving you as any other person who walks through that door. I will most definitely be a repeat customer. They have a very nice variety of menu items and I want to try a lot of them. Thanks so much for a wonderful dining experience to all who...
