China House II — Restaurant in North Whitehall Township

A local favourite, easy to miss along 309 but worth a visit for sure! Located right across from LCCC and down the road from where I work, they're a convenient stop for something deliciously different from the rest of the surrounding pizza joints, fast food, and diners. Expansive menu that covers the best of several different kinds of Asian cuisine, from sushi to pad thai to good old fashioned Chinese chicken and broccoli. Limited drink selection and despite its clean interior the food was overcooked and the wait staff didnt attend to us as often as I would have liked. My sweet and sour chicken was way overcooked leading to a crunchy shell with really dry chicken inside the batter and the fries were less than stellar. This was an experience I wanted to go through with a friend and I do not regret it but I will say I was happy to leave. I felt bad that the food wasnt what we wanted and paid for both of us. It was disappointing and actually quite embarrassing given that I wanted to go. Definitely try it out still but dont expect bells and whistles and dont be surprised if you dont get exactly...

I regularly come here for sushi, especially their lunch special because they have such a good 3 sushi combo deal. I usually get some combination of california rolls and spicy salmon/tuna/crab rolls. The woman at the front is always very nice and speedy to get my food together, usually way faster than the time she quotes me (which I appreciate because I usually am starving by the time I think to call it in). I will always continue to go here for my sushi needs.
