My family & I decided to go to the Schnecksville Fair on Wednesday night. My kids were going on the slide that you sit on a burlap bag & slide down. My 10 year old son looked down & saw a wad of money (totaling at least $13 maybe more). He picked it up & handed it to the ride operator. He quickly shoved it in his back pocket & covered it with his shirt with the hopes that my wife & I didn't see what happened. I walked over & asked him to return the money back to my son seeing as he found it. He refused so I asked what he's going to do with it. He said that he was going to turn it into the office. I went to the office & requested they return the money my son found & I would provide my phone number so if the owner claimed it my son & i would return it. A dark haired cubby woman told me that she would have to find Mr Good who owned the rides to she what she could do. When she came back I asked if she had the money. With that she was like Jekyll & Hyde & started flipping out & yelling at me to get out of the office building. Then some older woman said that if no one else claims it in 24 hours they would give it back to my son. Problem with that though is they refused to take my phone number & information so how were they going to contact my son & I? Then when i was leaving the dark haired cubby woman had one of her rent a cop buddies tell me that I had to leave. If anyone should have been made to leave it should have been her seeing as she was acting nuts. The whole situation really wasn't so much about the wad of money but it was about the principle of the matter. My son would have liked to see the original owner get back the money & if not he should be the one to get it. In my opinion more than likely some ride operator or one of his friends has the money. I did call the office next day & spoke to the old grumpy woman who told me that someone claimed it. I asked for the persons named & phone number so my son could call to see if the rightful owner got it back but she refused to disclose that information. As far as I'm concerned if nothing shady is going on she should have no apprehension disclosing that information. This just proves that trying to do the right thing doesn't always pay & you get treated like crap when you do. I hope you don't decide to go to a fair run by rude &...
Read moreWe enjoy this fair. However, a few things ro share from our experience... 1) we miss the flat one price admission 2) for the rides, the height requirement should be clearly marked, which was not the case for many rides 3) there was no ride ticket booth near the main entrance 4) there was a ride that only accepted pairs (no single riders) and no sign posted. My son was disappointed to find out once he made it to the front of the line. 5) it would be nice if credit cards were accepted for ride tickets ($20 min even) I didn't realize and needed to purchase $60 in...

I think because this fair has become more popular bringing more people year after year they should definitely have more food trucks!! The lines get to be a bit ridiculous. Its not your normal food truck line..its even longer. Overall great family activity or a...
