Growing up in New York, I miss a lot of things. The pizza, the bagels, the dirty-water dogs, the snow and the Italian ice. Sure, I’ve had, ice “wooter” from Philly and they are good…But there’s NOTHING like an Italian ice from a street vendor in the heart of the city. As a kid playing street ball in the dog-days of summer, you saw the man coming down the street, you dropped everything and ran. The anticipation of the of that first bite of the ice cold cherry Italian ice on those sweltering days…those amazing childhood memories all came back when I tried that cherry Italian ice. I thought it may have been a fluke so I got the banana Italian ice (something outside the “norm”) and I was absolutely floored by the flavor. There is a large selection of all sorts of treats. Absolutely AMAZING!! Mr. Ice Guys are truly the nicest guys, ever. They went above and beyond to accomodate us and our changing plans and was even able to make a date change for us within 48 hours of our party due to rain. Truly unbelievable! They saved the day and were the heroes of our son’s ice cream truck themed party. BJ is so awesome and fun with the kids and made everyone feel laid back and relaxed. My little one felt so special on the truck handing out ice cream and ringing the bell. There was no stress whatsoever throughout the entire process from booking to the truck leaving the driveway, and as a parent having a toddler birthday party that was incredibly appreciated! Mr. Ice Guys has truly been wonderful for our town. In addition to making everyone happy with ice cream, (because honestly....we all love the ice cream man ...) BJ Clark doesn't stop there. He does so many other selfless, wonderful things for this town. He asks for gift card donations for our elders, then matches them, doubling the support . He donates his time whenever he is asked. He's a man who takes pride in being part of the community. He absolutely deserves our support. He's there for more than just your ice cream needs, because he's Popeye the sailor man, and while I'm not sure if he actually likes spinach, he surely loves our pretty...
