update
I want to compliment this location and the baristas working here because they have been amazing at their service and have been going out of the way to ensure the customers are having a good experience! So thank you for the improvement itâs not unnoticed! Keep it up đ
Hi. This is to review a bad experience I had in your store twice now.
This is for the store on Willow and 294 N in Glenview/northbrook Il, USA.
Thereâs an Asian lady that works here that is very rude. I do not know her name but sheâs a young, dark haired lady. Twice she has made my experience so bad here that I feel like sheâs doing me a favor just giving me my coffee that I am PAYING for.
I placed a mobile order a couple weeks ago and it was a pick up through drive through. By the time I got to the drive thru there were at least 10 cars ahead of me. I simply just parked and went inside to get my coffee. I knew it was ready because the order was placed at least 20 mins ago. I go inside and ask very politely to pls just hand me my mobile pick up and this same Asian girl slams down the coffee on the counter in front of me. I told her thanks but she doesnât reply and turns away. Ok, whatever I moved on.
Today 8/18/24 at around 6 pm I went to get my mobile order yet again. I was greeted by a different barista at the drive thru line she was sweet. She handed me my coffee and when I took it and really took a look at it it looked like a vanilla creme frap (thatâs how white it was). I had only asked for an iced espresso with LIGHT HEAVY CREAM. (1/4 inch). I just didnât want to drink iced heavy whipping cream so I made a u turn in the lot went back inside the store. The girl who gave me the drink in the drive through is who greeted me in the store and politely did ask what I needed when she saw my drink in my hand. She promptly offered a new one which was nice of her. The new one was made and slammed onto the counter again by the other Asian girl who accompanied her during this shift. I recognized her rudeness due to my prior experience from a couple weeks ago. I couldnât read her name. The new drink that was given to me was so dark that it Looked like an iced americano. She tried to make a drink to show me if I didnât want so much cream i shouldnât get any at all. Anywho the other nicer barista offered to add a small amount more and my drink was fine. No mocha sauce was added into the drink as it was part of my original order but I didnât wanna bother the Starbucks baristas so much even though I am the one who is paying for the drink and they are doing their job and getting paid for it.
This is just to make the Starbucks management more aware of the rude employee they have working for them and maybe they can teach them to be nicer for starters. And also to really read the little instructions through their mobile orders because they are not that hard To...
Read moreI am writing this review for JOEL only , as he is the only happy funny human I encounter in the drive through . I literally have meant to post about him for the last year but kept forgetting .this is my second option Starbucks when my other one is missing my item or closed, but every single time I have come here at least 10 times in the last month, I have encountered a warm smile, and funny jokes as I pull up to the window to greet Joel! he is always happy, always has a smile on his face, is never in a bad mood to be waking up every morning and doing a demanding job like this, he really brings light to my morning ,with his Warm smile, or just happy demeanor. More people in the industry need to realize that this type of attitude makes a huge difference, Iâm sure not only in their lives, but their customers lives. There have been a few times I have come through the drive-through crying, and when greeted with him met with jokes of comfort and words of comfort and I cannot thank him enough for that. Joel should truly be promoted in some way ,to be a true example to newbies of what Starbucks employees should practice .People need to learn to from Joel ..because he really is an amazing human being, and I donât even know him, aside from the coffee run, but I can tell you, you can definitely tell a persons character the way they act when working in a fast-paced busy stressful food environment . Thank you Joel , youâve done MORE for me then hand...
Read moreOn Sunday Oct 17 I placed a mobile order at 9:33, arrived in the drive through at 9:37, and got to the window at 9:48. When I got to the window and was handed someone else's drink and no food item, I politely corrected the barrista and they got the right drink but someone else's food item. I corrected them on the food item and parked my car and came into the store as not to hold up the line of ~15 cars. I checked in with the barrista to get the sandwich and he said it would be right out. This was around 9:50. I checked in again at 9:55 and they said they would start making it. I finally got my food at 10:05. A drive through mobile order should not take 32 minutes. It's not appropriate for a store to be accepting mobile drive through orders, projecting the time to be 10-15 mins from when the order was placed, and then take 30 mins to complete the order. I'd recommend having the store turn off mobile ordering if they're that overwhelmed because the customer has no way to judge the time it will take without being at the store. Needless to say this made me 15 mins late for church and I 100% would have been on time if the projection was right and would not have ordered if I had shown up to the store and seen how busy it was. I'm an avid customer and will continue to shop at other stores but this was a very flawed process and this store should probably take a look at it's processes and...
