I don't understand the bad reviews on here. I have had an excellent experience at this establishment every time since I was a child (early 2000's). I will share my experience from today. I got a hamburger and fries, all for $9. For one, the burger and fries are delicious and FO has their own style for how they make it. The meat is similar to what you would grill at home and it has little onion bits and pickles, ketchup and mustard and it's just perfect. The fries are deep fried, very greasy and crunchy, they are different from most places. I also got a large chocolate soft serve on a cake cone for less than $5. It was so big that I had to eat it fast. It only dripped once and it did not melt as fast as I feared it would. The ice cream was very creamy and I must say they have improved it over the years because I remember a time years ago when it used to be a little more icy. These days it's very creamy, and it sure rivals Whippi Dip. The prices of all this was very good. I spent about $15 on everything. I did not get a drink because I think those ARE a little pricey. As for the service, it was excellent also. The girl at the counter was nice, she took the order correctly, and the cooks made it VERY fast. They brought out the burger and fries in only a few minutes. The ice cream as well only took a minute. I was impressed. I tipped a little less than I should have, $1 for the burger and fries, and .50 for the ice cream. Oh by the way, there was no line. There weren't many people here on a Thursday afternoon, around 3PM. The atmosphere of FO has always been nice. Lots of nice modern looking tables and chairs. Very clean. Of course there's a nice playground. The grass and plants are well kept. The whole place is clean. And it's across the street from Seyferth Park which is nice. Over all a 5/5 experience. I've always had a good time at Frosty Oasis. If I lived here I would go every week (well half the year, I think they are closed in the winter. But if they were open in the winter I would go also.) but I have to go back to...
Read moreI was price checking them recently because it was a fun thing to do because I like this, and people on reddit weren't liking Frosty Oasis, but, for me, it allowed me more ice cream. I suppose I noticed because I went once, and I swore it was 7.25 for a small snickers flurry, and I was like "wow that's kind of expensive" but I didn't think anything of it. But I went back the next week when it was slow, just after a rain storm, and ordered a small reeses peanut butter cup flurry, and everybody was so kind and quick go make it, and the flurry was delicious. A small is really all you need, honestly because it's pretty sizeable, in my opinion, but it was 6.25. And I was like "I wonder if the price difference was because of cashier error, because of toppings, or because it was busy earlier." But I wanted to test my theories just to prove that there was some consistency in pricing. So I went back the other day when it was warm and busy out. So I ordered a small reeses peanut butter cup flurry again. "6.25." I must have misremembered the first price, I'm guessing, or misheard, because the second two times were consistent. Or it was a cashier error. Either way, it was fine. But, I enjoyed getting three cups of ice cream and doing a little amateur price analysis, happy that the store is serving up good cups of ice cream rain or shine. It's in my neighborhood, so it's always tempting to go down there and get some summer ice cream while I go down to the beach to go do some writing. I love it. People are always trying to get me to go somewhere else, but there's nothing like your local ice cream spot. It just hits on the...
Read moreWent last night for a couple elephant ears got there at 8:40pm sign says “Kitchen closes at 9pm” there’s only 2 people in front of me, the guy at the front of the line already seems desperate to be waiting while the front 2 workers are working on a single cup of ice cream. For the next 15 minutes. At 8:58 I finally get to the front of the line and started placing my order when the young lady closed the window on my face without saying anything went back to the kitchen and come back saying “they might make it for you kitchen it’s closing” I told her I was in line since 8:40 again closed the window on my face came back talking to me very rude and said “yeah I guess she will make them for you”. Then there was an elderly person behind me who was getting his order taken a minute or two later than me asked for 2 hotdogs and the other young lady told him “Kitchen it’s closed” the elderly person proceeded to say “not when I got here 20 minutes ago” keep in mind there wasn’t anybody else behind us. She just stared at him and said once again “kitchen it’s closed” and slammed the window on his face the guy leaves and the workers start laughing and making fun of him because he asked for two hotdogs and they refused to sale them to him even tho he was in line before 9pm. I guess I’m just having a hard time understanding how the manager asks the customer to be kind and nice to its workers because “they are 13-14yo” when they have the right to be rude to the customers and laugh at them. And to top it off my chicken waffle bites were raw so I don’t think I will be going back with this type of...
