Mibar — Restaurant in Norton Shores

I returned from the restroom found someone messing with my drink, bartender refused to kick this person out, I have been a bar manager you can't trust an establishment that won't remove a threat when that person is identified by the bartender and other patrons....so I went back to give another chance to see if anything had changed. As soon as I sit down at the bar a woman asked me to move my barstool 2 inches over to accommodate other barstools, this woman I found out later is the owner. The bartender started to remove my drink from the rail when I stood up to do whatever, I found out it was the same bartender from before and is the owners son. So I approached the owner to tell her his actions were ridiculous and I didn't want anyone messing with my drink and she told me it was because I had a problem. Then her husband put his hands on me twice. My favorite bar in Muskegon BY FAR! Pool for $2/game, karaoke, AND beer pong! Table seating and bar seating 👌 Clean and aesthetic restrooms 👌 Good music 👌 plenty of parking and Lake Michigan is only a two minute drive away! I'm only in town seasonally and some of the bars around town only cater to their regulars and treat "new" people like garbage. The staff and the crowd here have always given me great service while also taking care of their regulars. It has a fun but mature atmosphere. Everybody is having fun and it's high energy but not rowdy or rambunctious when I've been there. Good pool players. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners on one occasion and had a wonderful conversation and thought they were lovely! I'm a big fan and this will be my regular bar every time...

Nightmare! Had out of town visitors, we stopped in here in the early afternoon after a visit to the beach. My niece had gotten her shoes wet and left them in the car as we planned to sit outside on the patio while they dried. When we went inside to pay our tab, The owner was upset she wasn't wearing any shoes. She apologized and offered to leave immediately and as we were waiting to pay our tab standing next to the door, the owner's son got furiously angry and started screaming that we were "TRESSPASSING"! It was inappropriately rude and threatening as well as entirely out of line. Will never patron this place again after this bizarre and unmitigated harassment.
