This is my update for May 2024. The service is good and staff is pleasant. The food is average. The presentation is good but the food lacks flavor. The bacon especially lacks flavor. I did not care for the whole wheat toast. Scrambled eggs don't pair well with thick, dense toast. The restaurant continues to have packaged cream for coffee and I don't enjoy that. The prices are not cheap. I will say that the grits were great. Also the silverware is shiney and spotless. This ends my update. This is my opinion. This restaurant is bright and airy. Love the location. Muskegon needs more areas like this. There is a brewery, a clothing boutique and a yoga studio a few steps away. I never visited this restaurant in its prior location. We got right in. We were seated next to a large party of about 20. Typically when seated next to a large party, your service level suffers. The large party impacted our service level minimally. My companion, who is a regular, wanted french toast made with regular bread as opposed to thick bread. She had ordered it that way before. It took about 10 minutes of going back and forth before the waitress agreed to honor this request. As the waitress left the table she muttered about having to go explain it to the kitchen. I asked if they had half and half. They pointed to the little packsges of preserved half and half and said that was all they had. I do not care for the packaged half and half since it is loaded with chemicals to keep it from spoiling without benefit of refrigeration. Coffee was very average and considering that the half and half is fake (my term for this type of coffee cream), I will not order it again. I had a belgium waffle and bacon. The waffle was decent and the bacon was nice and crisp. Our waitress stood in one spot when she served, which meant food was passed right under my nose. I know this is not a fine dining restaurant, but please, serve from the closest point to the patron. I would rate this restaurant visit a 3.5. But since this is not possible, I...

The reason for this review is I learned about this restaurant after returning back to the area after having been gone since 1988. The customer service initially was great I was greeted by a gentleman one of the owners. I was seated rather quickly ,after being seated this is where everything changed. I enjoyed the atmosphere initially and the great customer service initially. I decided to request an application not once but twice from two different owners .The male owner laughed in my face after I explain that I had worked with $1 billion fast food chain for 30+ years. He proceeded to explain he had did the same. I explained my passion for quality cleanliness and service. I requested an application for part time employment and I was laughed at. You see I commute daily to Grand Rapids daily to care patients at Butterworth hospital selflessly. I was told I’ll get one back to you. The owners proceeded to pass my table several times while eating. They would look me in my face and continue, walking and or talking to someone there . He never brought the application a female boss did the same with the exception of laughing in my face she told me she would return an application to me however she did not. I was literally ignored. she visited a table directly across from me several times and made eye contact failing to follow up with what she said she would do I immediately requested my check a box and I departed honestly I felt like they did not want a person such as myself on their staff I am 52 years old well-versed in public corporate communications well received and reviewed by mini with high accolades and lots of letter referrals this is very disturbing but this was...

Came on a whim on Father’s Day, they told us the wait would be 30 minutes, and that didn’t seem too bad, so we waited. Saw people leaving every couple minutes, thought for sure 30 minutes seemed doable. After an hour of waiting, they finally called us, usually hostesses over estimate your time you you’re not looking at your watch for 30 minutes going what the heck? So that started off annoying. We got seated and ordered right away. My kids got pink lemonade and I got a Diet Coke, they immediately said their lemonade didn't taste right? And our server changed the bag or whatever they have to do and got them new ones and they were fine. My Diet Coke didn’t taste right either, it was flat. She said the bag was full for that one and brought me one from another machine, it was better but not great. I ordered pancakes and over medium eggs and sausage patties, with a side of sourdough toast and jam. The pancakes tasted almost multigrain, and they weren’t my favorite, they also give you 3, which was far too many and I had to take one home. The eggs were cooked to perfection, like velvet. The toast and jam and sausage patties were great! My son got cinnamon roll pancakes and he loved them, my other son got the cheeseburger and was disappointed at the size but then that was all he could eat, lol, my other son got the kids pancake, which comes in the shape of Mickey. And my daughter got kids french toast, which she liked very much. My husband got an omelet with pancakes and he enjoyed it. It was also really loud and busy since it was...

I had a decent experience at this breakfast spot, though there were some highs and lows. The ambiance was unique, a bit different from what I’m used to, but in a good way—definitely had its charm. We didn’t have to wait long for a table, only about 5 minutes, which was nice for a weekend brunch. For food, we tried the tortilla scrambler, but I wasn’t a big fan of it. It came loaded with pickled jalapeños, which overpowered the dish for me. I personally prefer fresh jalapeños for a brighter, crisper flavor, so the pickled version wasn’t quite to my liking. However, the Mediterranean scrambler was much better, flavorful and well-balanced. The breakfast tortillas were just okay—nothing special, but not bad either. They didn’t really stand out, and I think they could use a little something extra to elevate the flavors. The real star of our meal was the cinnamon pancakes we had for dessert. They were absolutely delicious but very, very sweet—maybe too sweet for some, but they hit the spot if you’re in the mood for a sugar rush. Overall, it was a mixed experience. There were a few good dishes, but also some that I wouldn’t order again. It’s worth a try if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.
