In a town that has a restaurant known across the state for their Buffalo Wings, Jasmine Garden should be known for their Spareribs on the Bone! I eat at some of the best Chinese restaurants in the state and I would put Jasmine Garden's up against any of them. However that's just one of the many great things they offer. Their Hot and Sour Soup is old school with wood ear mushrooms, pork floss and all the fillers with a nice complex flavor finished with just the right amount of heat. Their Beef Teriyaki is extremely tender, flavorful and is right up there with the best. I got the Pork Fried Rice without onions. It was dark, flavorful and loaded with pork, egg, and bean sprouts. They definitely don't hold back. Their lobster sauce has a really nice flavor with a sweet finish. Mixed with the rice it is perfect. My daughter had the Dragon Roll and very much enjoyed it. All of the food that I have had here has been solid. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This is a real hidden gem. Very easy to get to from 495 or 95. I rank this extremely high on my list of Massachusetts Chinese restaurants. If you like ribs, it is worth the journey from...
Read moreStandard American Chinese food from this restaurant that has been open as long as I can remember, probably at least 20 years. My parents would always order their Chinese food from here when I was a kid and I loved it. Once I grew up, I realized there were better/cleaner options for Chinese food nearby, however, we still usually order from here on New Years Eve, kind of a tradition we don't want to break. Their chicken fingers are really good, pork fried rice, crab Rangoon, and general Tao chicken are all great choices.
I have never dined in but the seating area is quite large and overlooks the Norton Reservoir on the east side of the building, a decent touch. The staff is very friendly and know you by name once you start going there regularly and the food when you pick it up is always piping hot, which is always appreciated. I am giving four stars compared to other Chinese food restaurants in the vicinity, there are better options but this is a solid choice if you're...
Read moreThe air conditioning vent over the booth was leaking water. The manager came out and stated we requested a booth, and that was the booth they gave us. I have never seen management in any service industry ever not care about health issues. Leaking water from over your head is a major problem. Our food did not come all together, and when our drinks arrived we had to ask for ice because the water was warm. There was little to no ice in our glasses. The waitresses, multiple times, reached across in front of my granddaughter and over her food serving things. After paying the bill, the waitresses came back, wanting a bigger tip. I counted the money out for her, showing we paid the bill in full and gave a modest tip. I am not going to reward anyone who gives poor service or rude service to their parents. I know I will never patronize this...
