Norton Jade chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Norton

Ordered via phone last night for delivery @6:20pm. Was told delivery would be approximately 30 minutes. Ordered 2 combo meals and added 2 sides (side of chicken wings & side chicken fingers). Asked for extra duck sauce for the chicken fingers. Keep in mind, 2 combo meals. After 1 hour and delivery hasn’t shown up, I called back. Women who answered the phone said she was just going to call me. Ya, Right! She proceeded to tell me our food is fresh, was just cooked and that there were people ahead of my order for delivery. Well, if I ordered an hour ago, how is my order fresh. Well, my delivery finally arrived an hour and a half after placing my order. Not impressed at all. Not certain what kind of oil they used, but it tasted old, as if it doesn’t ever get changed. Additionally my husband’s chicken wings were not typical Chinese chicken wings. He said they tasted like something you buy in the grocery store and they just toss in the fryer to add some crunch to them. His pork fried rice had an orange peel in it. Why? An orange peel, makes no sense to me! Additionally, I asked for extra duck sauce, what did I get? One very small, half full duck sauce. For 2 combo meals and the extra chicken fingers. Only enough for 3 chicken fingers. How do they only give one duck sauce with two meals? Ok, if you don’t want to give me extra, at least give 2, since we ordered 2 combo meals. I guess just being cheap! Lastly, we normally have enough for another meal, each person. We had plenty of leftovers, but the food tasted so bad, both leftover meals went straight to the dumpster. Used to get the old mandarin all the time had to wait for them to reopen because I would order 2-3 times a week once they reopened early February finally was able to try it $60+ dollar food order delivery paid online and the deliver person said we didn’t pay or needed more of a tip or something and actually walked fully inside my house to wait even though they were not told to come into my house what so ever they had to call the resterunt to make sure that we paid online like we were trying to get free food or something and wouldn’t leave the driveway for quite some time after all that the food was nothing like the old mandarin pork fried rice was bland and orange (like Spanish rice) not even brown everything else was disappointing and went n the trash ordered a whole order of lo mein and that’s my favorite didn’t even want to try it (into the trash) will not be ordering again unless food and management learns from the old days…SAD I was buying $60 plus takeout almost 3 times a week have to order out of town now for good Chinese/Asian food

P.s. Also love how they still keep the 4-5 star reviews from the old mandarin up on Google so they...

I'd say the 5 star reviews are almost as unrealistic as the 1 star. This place is a solid 3 star, I'll give it 4 star because the prices are low. Good local Chinese. Came in for lunch and decided on the Buffet. The hot and soar soup was well balanced if not spectacular. The garlic shrimp were very good, tasty and not overcooked. The lobster sauce was heavily seasoned, for a change from the norm, and mixed well with other fair, including the pork fried rice which was actually done very well, nice firm separate kernels. Beef and pork dishes tasty with nice assortment of veggies, small batches meant the sauce never got runny. For $8.50 I had nothing to complain about. Leave a nice tip for the pleasant and...
