Gilby's Pizza Cravin - Norwalk, OH — Restaurant in Norwalk

This was the first time for us to order from Gilby's Pizza Craving. We ordered the Big Pappa stuffed crust pizza. When I called and ordered I asked for extra pizza sauce on the pizza, which there was barely any sauce put on our pizza. My husband took one piece of our large pizza and I took one piece. Neither of us could even finish our one piece. Not much sauce on pizza, but a bigger portion of the pizza was the stuffed crust part, not the actual pizza with toppings. The entire stuffed crust part was undercooked and doughy. Not at all tasty or appealing at all to eat. My husband and I could not eat that doughy pizza. All the rest of the large pizza that we bought is still in the box and more than likely going into the trash. We are on social security as senior citizens and we don't splurge often on ordering take out food. So basically $22 was wasted tonight on our food!! I did call right away to speak to the manager, but was told that it was probably the cheese that made the dough look and taste undercooked. But being that the dough was light in color, it looked and tasted undercooked to us. I also told him there was barely any sauce on our pizza , and we had asked for extra on it. Then I was told send a picture of the pizza to one of their employees that we know, but we don't have their phone number!! Then manager dismissed me and hung up the phone. I don't see any place on this review to post pictures, even though I did take pictures of our pizza and would love to post them . We will not be ordering from here again. We just thought we would try Gilby's and see if the pizza was good. We were disappointed.!! Marco's Pizza is usually our go to pizza place in town. Ordered for the first time tonight and my only regret is that we didn't order sooner! We hardly ever order out for pizza but from now on, when we do; it'll be Gilby's pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza, a pickle pizza, and a cheeseburger foldover. The pizza was cooked perfectly. The crust was thin and crispy but not too crispy. There wasn't much sauce on the pizza but it didn't need a lot of sauce because the sauce had a great taste and seasoning. Also, the pizza was NOT super greasy like the other mom and pop shops! I do have to say that it's hands down some of the best pizza I've had. The cheeseburger foldover was miles ahead of the competition! Would prefer maybe a thicker or different kind of crust for the foldover but the taste was wayyy better than the competition! We spent $40 including delivery fee for a family of 5 AND we have leftovers; you can't beat that! Not to mention the smooth ordering process. The guy who took our order was very polite and helpful. The delivery driver was also polite and professional. We were quoted a half hour or so for delivery but got it in under a half hour and we live out of town! It's been a few months since I tried this place out, but I saw the gofundme post on Facebook about the retaining wall and wanted to give a boost on your google reviews, too.

My husband and I ordered two pizzas, one for each of us, for pickup. When we got in to pick it up, we were told that in addition to our order, we won the pizza lottery, and we'd be recieving an extra large cheese pizza, too! I was over the moon. I took it home, drizzled hot honey on it, and enjoyed it so much!

Little did you guys know, I'd just lost my job and we ordered that pizza as a special treat after not having eaten out in a long while. We scraped together enough for our order and left with enough food to feed us for a while! I've never forgotten what an impact that extra pizza made on us.

I've got a new job now and while we're still not rich, I've got a little more money now. When I get paid next I'll be making a donation to the gofundme.
