First and foremost, I RARELY give any restaurant five stars. This restaurant earned their five stars; food, service, atmosphere all hit the mark! The food is absolutely delicious. I'm a seafood lover and I must say it's the BEST seafood restaurant I've ever been to. Everything I ate was very fresh and the kitchen definitely know what they're doing. Calamari was crispy on the outside and tender inside. It comes with buffalo sauce, lemon aioli and bamu sauce which is a spicy thin Asian sauce. Clam chowder was creamy, had the usual bacon, clams and celery and garnished with a clam on the shell; great touch if you ask me. The spicy tuna tartare was my favorite thing I ate. It came with papadum chips that were light and crispy (better than potato chips!). The tuna tartare had the right amount of spice that didn't overpower your tastebuds but it let you know you were eating fresh, delicious tuna. The cucumbers added a very refreshing touch to the dish and I loved the wasabi aioli! The hot lobster roll was perfect. Coleslaw was delicious. The steamers are always messy to eat but worth it! I had a mini seafood feast and I was super satisfied leaving the restaurant. I usually finish a good meal with dessert but I had no room. There's always a next visit for that! I didn't try my son's cheeseburger because I strictly wanted seafood but it was cooked medium just how we asked and he said it was delicious. My son is a picky eater so if he says it's good, it's good. Ambiance is very nice. There's indoor and outdoor seating. If you're a sun lover you'd love to be outdoors with the sun shining on you while you dine with a great view of the water and boats. Inside had nice nautical decor. They had a nice bar area with lots of drinks. Our server, MJ, was amazing. He was very attentive to all our needs. It was our first time eating here and we will return because of MJ and the amazing food. Our cups were always full and finished dishes cleared away. I appreciate servers like MJ because it elevates the dining experience. Great food can only get you so far but hard workers like MJ truly magnify a great experience. The restaurant was super packed. They have valet parking and I honestly thought we would wait forever but we didn't. We got in right away and our food promptly came out. MJ made sure we got the food in the order we wanted and we didn't feel rushed or ignored. Again, this is why I'm giving them five stars! If you love seafood, great service and a beautiful view, check them out.

Rowayton Seafood Restaurant offers a truly delightful dining experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, parking was a breeze with the attentive valet service awaiting us at the restaurant's entrance, providing a stress-free beginning to our lunch. With a reservation in hand (highly recommended due to the restaurant's popularity), we were promptly greeted by the ever-friendly and smiling hostess and escorted to our table on the second floor, boasting magnificent views of the waterfront. The culinary journey commenced with dishes that tantalized the taste buds, showcasing some of the finest seafood offerings in the area. Each bite was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality and flavor, leaving us thoroughly impressed. However, it wasn't just the cuisine that left a lasting impression; the staff's professionalism and efficiency added to the overall dining experience. Our server, Arsen, deserves special recognition for his impeccable service. His knowledge, attentiveness, and unwavering professionalism ensured that every aspect of our meal was nothing short of perfection. In summary, Rowayton Seafood Restaurant is a gem that deserves to be lauded with six stars if possible. It undoubtedly ranks among the top five dining destinations in the area, making it a must-visit for locals and travelers alike. Conveniently located off exit 12 on I-95 northbound, it's easily accessible for those passing through. I eagerly anticipate my next visit and wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience.

My wife and I moved from Stamford to the New Haven area around 10 years ago. We were regulars at Rowayton Seafood before so when we went there today for the first time in about five years, we were very excited. We brought our youngest, our 7 year old son for his first time. He insisted he wanted shrimp, crab, lobster and fish. We made the bold decision to get the Grand Platter, which comes with 6 Shrimp / 12 Clams / 6 Oysters/ 6 Tuxedo Oysters / Chilled Lobster/ Alaskan King Crab Legs / Tuna Tartar. They were out of tuna tartar so they gave us extra lobster. When I say extra lobster, in addition to 3 lobster, we got a bowl of already cracked lobster. The freshness of everything had the flavor jumping off our forks (and hands). We loved everything! The platter was $185, but I assure you it was a bargain. It was more than the three of us could handle, even though we did have a plate of the delicious french fries. The ambience is great, sitting outside (covered) and seeing the swans, ducks and boats is so worth the trip. Our waitress Angelica was phenomenal and always made sure we had drink refills. (The Sea Hag on draft and Bloody Mary's were delicious). Make a reservation! We were miraculously able to snag a table on a Saturday, but that's because we were right there at opening. I couldn't recommend them any higher; the food, the service, the experience.. top notch.

Nice lil spot. Wanted to try something new. Never been. It was my fiancé’s birthday and she wanted to go somewhere we never been before and have seafood. After some Googling I came across this place. I sent her the menu and she fell in love instantly. Unfortunately nothing really “wow’ed” us. She loved her drink, mine was way too strong. The calamari tasted fresh and we did enjoyed it. It was just the entrees. It was just ehhh to us. She finished hers, but I didn’t. Didn’t even get a chance to ask for a to go container because the bus boy asked if I was done & when I told him yes he took my plate and threw it away. I was like uuuuhhh ok I guess I don’t want to take it home with me. Lol. I really thought he was going to box my food. Guess not and I still had more than half my dish left. I’m not talking bad about this place it just wasn’t our cup or tea. Service was great, I just expected more from the food.

This is one of my favorite waterfront seafood restaurants in CT. The food is spectacular and it has a marina view to match. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating and I highly recommend making a reservation since this place can get very busy on the weekends. We ordered the Minor Platter appetizer (shrimp, calms, and oysters) for the table and a couple bottles of the Pinot Grigio. I had the Rowayton Lobster Roll with the truffle fries which was simply amazing and I highly recommend it. The roll is buttery warm and it’s overflowing with lobster 😋. You can choose an included side of chips, salad, or fries and I went with the truffle fries which I also recommend. It also comes with a very tiny portion of coleslaw. The service is always friendly and I’m never disappointed with the dining experience. Bon appétit!
