Java’s Kerr’s Cafe — Restaurant in Norwich Township

I never usually review anything, but each time I’ve stopped here before studying the barista will make me a cold brew with milk instead of an iced latte like I ask. I don’t know if things are broken or the barista just wants to save time, but please don’t do that or at least say the espresso machine isn’t working.

Response to owner: I really don’t want to sound like a Karen but this is baffling. I’ve been a barista in a couple popular chains and I’ve never heard of any cafe doing this. Calling a cold brew with milk an iced latte is misleading due to differences in taste AND caffeine content. I’d rather not be bouncing off the walls with anxiety because I had a large cold brew when I thought I’d be getting ~2-3 espresso shots. It is also cheaper to make, leading me to believe this response that “customers prefer this” to be a bit disingenuous. If customers prefer cold brew, they’ll order cold brew. I’m sure that in the year of our lord 2024, most Americans that drink iced coffee know the difference between iced espresso and cold brew and can order...

The coffee is great and the staff are mainly hardworking students my girlfriend and I have had excellent conversations with and the convenient library location is a plus.

Everyone being hostile towards young college students is a weirdo. Leave them be. They are working so hard.
