"Thai by Thai" should change their name to "Thai bye bye". Not recommended.

Thank you for responding to my comment. First, I want to congratulate you on figuring out exactly who I am and what I had for dinner. Considering I didn't use my credit card and my wife, and I don’t share the same last name. You must have done some cyber searching to find me; I am very impressed. Do you normally do that to all the people that leave you negative reviews? Maybe you should post a warning to your customers. Secondly, for me to critique your food. I know a thing or two about food. I was born and raised in Thailand and had my share of Thai food and still consume it and enjoy going to Thai restaurants. I’ve been working in the Food business for over 35 years, and I owned my own restaurant which is closed. You made a heartless comment about it, not knowing anything about me or my situation if you really did complete your cyberstalking. You would have found that I had to close my restaurant due to my health condition. I am in heart failure. I loved my restaurant and took pride in it and your comments are sad. So, I guess I must have hit a nerve. I have every right to make comments about your food. The Papaya salad that we ordered came looking like a hand toss salad. It was not made with a Mortar Pestle. Beansprouts do not belong in papaya salad. I asked our LOVELY waitress to ask the chef if he can make it Lao's style; Not sure if this was translated but it was not Lao style. It didn't taste anything like what I’ve had or what it was supposed to be. My Goong Ob Woonsen is supposed to be cooked in a clay pot. Surprisingly it came to our table in a small Paella pan which was soaked in sweet and salty sauce. Again, not what I had visioned or expected. We also ordered Drunken Noodle which looked lifeless and bland. The noodles were so overcooked they were mush; the chicken was dry. Thank goodness the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Pull the footage and check we both took the leftovers home. The dogs loved it!
This was our second time at your establishment. We had a large party there a few years ago and had a great experience. Your establishment is clean; staff is friendly and attentive. But your response and cyber stabling is very concerning. I would like to warn your patrons to use CASH! What I found odd was when I had my restaurant, we worked hard to get good reviews and when we got a negative review. We apologized to the customers and asked them to come back to give us another opportunity to prove to them that we could do better, I guess not in your case.
Lastly, I recommend you take the time to perfect your craft vs. all the time you spent looking me up online and tearing me down. Best of...
Read moreAH! Eat here if you can! I am so glad I was able to support this business. I am an out-of-towner (no car) who ordered 2 drunken noodles (tofu and chicken) on Uber Eats. After 30 minutes went by with no update on the Uber Eats website, I decided to call up Thai by Thai and ask whether our order had been recieved / prepared. Siri, the lady on the phone, told us that they had prepared the food awhile ago and it was just sitting around because Uber Eats couldn't find a driver! Siri apologized to us multiple times and even went out of her way to contact Uber! She followed up with us (called us) right afterwards :) So courteous!! even tho the issue was with Uber and not with the restaurant! An hour later, our order finally arrived and SURPRISE! They included an extra thai tea out of kindness! The noodles were SO GOOD (albeit pretty spicy. pro tip: if you have a low spice tolerance, let them know! I learned something today for when I order in the future). My roommate also had a low spice tolerance BUT gritted her teeth to finish the whole thing in one sitting because it was so flavorful and well-made. I wasn't superrrr hungry so the portion was large enough that the leftovers will be a second meal for me. The price was reasonable for the portion + quality of the food. Siri, if you're reading this, please know that you made our night. We will definitely be ordering from this place again when we...
Read moreI really wanted to leave a nice review but was really disappointed by my first trip to their new location, which used to be a Mexican joint. First off, Thai by Thai's old location used to serve amazing food every time I went. Their crab rangoons, pad thai, basil fry, rice, noodles, everything was good. So, I was really confused by the food I was served this time.
I ordered chicken satay for $10, and what came out shocked me. The chicken was flat, dry, and only had about 1 oz of chicken meat in a pressed square, comically placed on the end of each stick. I think we only got a total of 3 oz of chicken. We ordered the Thai duck, a pricey dish. The duck came out swimming in Tamarind sauce, which wasn't bad, but the off-putting part was that for some reason there was lettuce all in the sauce, so the lettuce was drenched, wilted, disgusting. That was the whole dish: duck, a ton of wilted salad, and sauce.
I ordered beef basil stir fry. The beef was horribly dry, the sauce was watery, the vegetables were bland. This will be my last trip to Thai by Thai. I even asked if they were new owners, and they weren't. It's been a year since my last trip and the quality has gone really down hill. I hope you return your food to its prior state or...
