terrible. start to finish terrible. the service was awful: with reservations, we were seated but then not served our food for over an hour. the food quality is bad, verging on inedible. we had to repeatedly request to place our order while our waitress walked away from us ambling around loosely as if lost. when she finally did take our order, she left our table without taking my wife’s order. i had to go to the wait staff’s station to tell the waitress my wife’s order. everything moves painfully slowly here, like a Brechtian play. when we were initially seated and ordered our drinks, my wife ordered a hot tea that was not delivered to our table for an hour (only after repeated requests). when delivered, another waitress spilled the hot water across the table. appetizer plates and soups were cleared before we were finished eating. we were not served our main dishes for over an hour, nearly an hour and half. my main dish of dry flavorless sauerbraten and disgusting sauerkraut with a mush consistency was so bad that i could not finish it. our empty beers, sodas and waters stood empty for 2 hours with no offers from the waitstaff. meanwhile, i watched the waitstaff clear a nearby table’s food and plates into a trash bin and then pull food out of the trash, replating it and returning it to the table. a terrible restaurant experience made worse by the “entertainment”, a wandering singer, an elderly woman creaking across the floor murmuring songs into a wireless microphone and jangling her tuneless tamborine to an improbable song selection.
