Subway — Restaurant in Norwood

A co-worker of mine and I stopped by for a quick lunch today, trying to make our next appointment. We were asked to wait (we were the only two customers in line) while a lady loaded at least four trays of bread to put them in the warmer. When we were finally able to order, I told the server that I was on a gluten-free diet, and asked if t wI could please purchase the sandwich "filling" without the bread. I was told that I could not, that the manager would not allow it. I explained again that I could not eat the bread, but would gladly pay for it, and was trying to keep from wasting a roll. Again I was told that I could not order in that manner. I asked, "Don't you make salads in place of sandwiches?" and was told that they did. I asked what was different about putting my "fixings" on a plate. Again, I was told that I could not order the sandwich without the bread. My co-worker and I left without ordering because the Subway in Norwood, NC, would not work with my dietary needs. We drove to Zaxby's in Albemarle, where the waitress gladly filled my sandwich order sans bread. If you're on a special diet, I don't recommend you visit the Subway in Norwood, NC. They are, for some unknown reason, able to work with some medical, dietary...

Very rude service from the young girl acting like she didn’t want to make my sandwich. The food didn’t look fresh either so for her to act like she been working hard or something bothers me if you not giving at least good customer service then don’t be afraid of customers like me who don’t appreciate bad attitude or a personalities like hers. I was the only customer they had and the energy I got from one girl was I don’t have time for this so mid way while making my sandwich I said stop I don’t want it because of the way your making it . I read energy well and she didn’t want to make my sandwich until I had a problem with her service by then it’s to late I don’t wanna eat here or support this establishment again . Once again the food didn’t look fresh at all look like yesterdays lettuce and other veggies 🤢 and then with here unwelcoming attitude I decided to leave midway thru making order . They say this location is better than albemarle but i totally disagree with these two girls working in here. That’s just my experience yours...

I used to speak very highly of this location as we visited often. Over the past year, they have hired a younger staff that seems to just hate their jobs. With the exception of one young dark haired girl that is always super sweet. I called today to place a to go order, and the female answered the phone with "Hello." Didnt even state the business name. Sounded irritated that she even had to answer the phone. After ordering my first sandwich, she responded with "I didnt even understand a word that you just said." Very rudely. When i told her she was being rude, she then proceedednto argue with me. I asked to speak to a manager and was told "I'm the closest thing to a manager that you're gonna get right now." I told her to forget it and we wouldnt be coming back and was answered with "Ok." Very sad as we have been coming to this location for 3 years....
