What a lovely park! Plenty of parking, and a play- scape for the kids. Shaded picnic areas dotted about, and a wharf out on to the pond for duck & turtle feeding - a must for any kid, really. We walked halfway around the level, paved track only to find the first sign stating no dogs. Alas. We were halfway around, and had to continue just to get back to the car. When back in town at Norwood Hardware, we were told the town plans to make it dog friendly soon. We will be back!

This is a great place to walk or jog, and is excellent for a little family outing. It's very peaceful. The park has a one-half mile paved track, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, gazebo, and three picnic shelters that are available for rent. There is also a large pond that is home to several species of fish, though fishing isn't allowed, and is frequented by ducks and geese.

The main picnic shelter at the park entrance can be rented. The rental fee is $40.00 for up to four hours. The creekside shelter can be rented for a fee of $25.00 for up to four hours. The Lion’s Club Shelter is also available for use, however there is no rental fee for it. Neither is there any fee for using the gazebo, which is open to all.

Contact the Norwood Town Hall if you would like to...

I love this park!!! Its a perfect place to walk. It has a pond with water spout and ducks which to me makes it relaxing. You don't have to worry about traffic or crossing the highway if your looking to get your walk on. Theres also a play area for your kiddos and picnic tables and a huge gazebo for you to just sit and relax and watch the ducks or just meditate. I drive across the river from my home town of Mt.Gilead because they dont have a very good walking track. I like that it is visible from the main highway but not too close that it is a distraction for a little bit of peace...
