China Crown — Restaurant in Novi

China Crown is a pretty decent choice for Chinese takeout in the Novi Area. The menu has no frills, but it'll provide everything you expect from any basic Chinese eatery. As a bonus, they make the ordering/ pick up process very straightforward and easy, which is always appreciated mid-pandemic.

When you pick up, you'll need to wear a mask, the staff is wearing masks, and they'll pass you your food from behind a plexiglass divider. Additionally, the staff is very nice and quite friendly!

The food is really what drives the 3 star review -- it's not bad, but it's not great... it's truly A-OK. The Lo Mein is slightly above average, but the Fried Rice is definitely below average (100% sure I wouldn't order it again).

Overall, I don't think you'll have a bad experience from China Crown... but in an area with tons of options for takeout, there's nothing that sticks out abut China Crown that makes it a...

I used to like this place - staff was kind, food was good, and it was convenient. However, the last time I orderrd I found hair in my food. I was so hungry I took it out and just continued to eat, and then I found another hair. I thought that was ridiculous so I called and asked for a replacement. When I called, instead of apologizing or offering a replacement, they told me to bring in the hair to the restaurant so she can give the hair to her daughter at the hospital to check the DNA of the hair - I kid you not. She said she had to be sure it was their hair. I was legitimately shocked and thought I misheard at first, but the lady was 100% serious. I think it is safe to say I will not be ordering from China...

The WORST Chinese we have ever had!!! My General Tsos chicken was bland, watered down, soggy instead of crisp as I'm used too, and not the texture of chicken, it was cubed almost tofuish???? My husband had a the Mongolian pork which was supposed to be spicy, but his was also watered down, bland and inedible. We threw half of it right into the garbage. I am only taking the time to review to warn everyone else not to risk food poisoning! I went to bed early with an upset stomache, and woke up with definite food poisoning. I had also shared my chicken dish with my 3 year old who seemed fine all day but then this evening he has started puking. STAY FAR AWAY FROM...
