The Hawaiian Island Cafe proved to be a delightful oasis during our Circle Island tour, offering a welcome respite and a taste of Hawaii's flavors.

One of the standout features of this cafe was its free and spacious parking area, a valuable convenience for travelers exploring the island. Additionally, the availability of restrooms in this area added to the overall comfort of our visit.

The dishes and drinks served at the cafe were not only tasty but also provided a true taste of Hawaii. It was a culinary journey that allowed us to savor the local flavors and appreciate the unique cuisine of the islands.

What made the Hawaiian Island Cafe even more special was the atmosphere. It truly felt like we were in Hawaii, thanks to the ambiance and the warm hospitality of the staff. It was a place where you could sit back, relax, and soak in the island vibes.

In conclusion, the Hawaiian Island Cafe is a wonderful stop during a Circle Island tour, offering tasty dishes, an authentic island atmosphere, and the convenience of free parking and restrooms. It's a cafe that embodies the spirit of Hawaii and adds to the overall enjoyment of exploring the beautiful...

Small space with friendly employees. You can sit inside to eat or do take-out. There is one employee working front of house, handling register while making the acai bowls and coffee drinks. Any other meal is made back of house by the kitchen staff. So a line can accumulate during rush hour but it moves fairly quickly. A 2-stall bathroom with soap and paper towels is open for customers, however it's outside the store. Need to get a key from the employee.

  1. Makapu'u bowl - (12.25) - Okinawan sweet potato, haupia, toasted coconut shreds, bananas, granola, and honey - super large & filling bowl with fresh toppings. One of the best acai bowls I've had. Definitely recommend and would get it again.
  2. Bellows Bowl - (10.25) - strawberries, bananas, granola, honey. Good portion, filling, and fresh.
  3. Pineapple Dragonfruit acai bowl - Dragonfruit is sweet and delicious but not a huge fan of pineapple on acai bowls (too tart/sweet in comparison...

Ordered the Loco Moco cost 16 dollars, Country Breakfast with Portuguese sausage cost 11 dollars and mini steak plate 10 dollars. The loco moco was great. The presentation was lovely and the gravy was ono. Everything was hot and ready to go down. 16 dollars was a bit much but the flavors made it worth it. Country breakfast was also beautiful presentation. I asked for the Portuguese sausage to be cooked a little bit longer and it was so. It has alot of rice for only 5 pieces of sausage and over hard eggs. Could probably been better with a bit of potatoes. The mini plate was not really worth the 10 dollars because it didn’t come with eggs. The mac salad was ok. I felt like it was missing something!!! The uncle was outside welcoming everyone and giving flowers to female customers. Awesome atmosphere and would go if I’m on that side...

Drove by Hawaiian Island Cafe after the beach in Waimanalo. Cozy little breakfast and lunch spot serving local style breakfast and lunch menu options. We ordered famous Gorg Chicken sandwich and the creamy garlic chicken sandwich for entrees and had to try the Li hing mui lemonade and Mayan mocha latte. Sandwiches come with Maui onion kettle chips on the side. Both drinks hit the spot and definitely a must try. Didn't get a chance to try the kalua pork or loco Moco plates but will hopefully be back this way to try it out. They also sell local souvenir and clothes and also display local artwork by Patrick Ching. Recommended stop after a morning at the beach. Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.
