I came to try this sushi place after hearing good things about it from a friend, and I’m really glad I did. The sashimi was very fresh, and the service was excellent — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. In today’s climate of rising prices, I also really appreciate that their prices are quite reasonable and not overly expensive. Overall, a great dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

So so bad. Not real Japanese sushi. Not good quality. Old chicken. Old sushi from cans. It’s just that bad. Even the cartoon chicken was incredibly weak it was over oily even simple things like potato fries were undercooked and rice was too hard salad didn’t have too much dressing on it and was just lettuce. It was just not good food.

Kizuna has become a favorite restaurant for us in Kailua. The sushi and hibachi are always excellent, prices reasonable, the staff is fantastic, and Ken is hands down the best hibachi chef ever. My kids ask for him every time. Hibachi can feel predictable, but he makes it a blast. So grateful to have this spot in our town!

Kitchen begins last call around 9, a whole hour before close, so you feel quite rushed and can tell the waitresses want to leave as they clean up around you. My squid leg appetizer showed up after the sushi and was burnt, rubbery and very hard to chew. You pay 15-18 dollars for mediocre sushi in a disappointingly small portion, if I had gone to a place like Doraku in Honolulu I would have received better sushi and double the amount for around the same price. I had to ask for soy sauce as it was not on table. Music way too loud, makes conversation difficult without getting loud. To top it all off, after I left no tip for the subpar service and child sized portions of sushi one of your waitresses ran out after me to guilt me and my wife for a tip. Do you know how rude that is? You are not entitled to a tip if your food and service are bad. I’m never coming back and I’ll make sure none of my Marines come...

I wanted to take my nephew out to a sushi restaurant because it was my last night in Hawaii... I gave it a two because the appetizer was good... My nephew said he had better sushi from whole foods which is premade. My food was horrible. I ordered a side of fried rice which lacked in flavor. The yum yum sauce was runny and was extremely sweet. Not the norm for yum yum.My spicy tuna roll was horrible. The meat was hard and it tasted like canned tuna. The meat was not fresh by any means. I couldn't finish the roll. I work in a japanese steak house and sushi bar so I know what good sushi taste like. This place is not it. I had bad indigestion and I never has it before. I eat sushi on a regular basis. I don't recommend...

The food here is absolutely amazing — some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The ambiance is great too — lively and inviting.

The only thing is the service at the Kailua location can feel a bit rushed. They’re super busy (which says a lot about how good the food is), but it can be a little overwhelming. That’s why I actually prefer the Kaneohe location — it’s less crowded, the service is faster, and you still get the same top-quality food.

Definitely worth a visit, just plan ahead if you’re going to the...
