Leonard’s Bakery has the best malasadas in Oahu are an absolute must-try they’re insanely tasty and totally live up to the hype! This bakery has been up and running since the 1950’s, bringing some history to the island. Fresh, warm, and perfectly fluffy, these little sugar-coated treats are pure happiness in every bite. The coconut, macadamia nut, regular custard, and chocolate-filled malasadas are all amazing, but if I had to pick favorites, the coconut and mac nut ones are next-level delicious. Each one is rich, flavorful, and super satisfying. It definitely gets busy, especially in the mornings when the line can wrap around the building, but I went around 2 or 3 PM, when the crowds had already died down. It’s way easier to grab your malasadas without the long wait. Whether you’re a local or visiting for the first time, Leonard’s is one of those sweet spots you just can’t miss. Treat yourself, you won’t regret it!

Oh em gee. People of the world, prepare your bodies for this amazing experience. We've always heard about how good these malasadas are, and we finally made time to try them out. I almost blacked out on the first bite! We tried the cinnamon, original sugar, and custard filled (my favorite) and they were all incredible. The texture and flavor are perfect, and they are a perfect snack to and from the beach or wherever. Plenty of parking at this location, take-out only with no seating available. I've heard that this truck does better than the main place in Waikiki, and that they are faster as well. Definitely make some time to get to this location and try them out!

If you did not visit Leonard’s Bakery while in Honolulu, you did not truly come to Hawaiʻi — it’s a mandatory stop! Their malasadas are absolutely delicious. We ordered two originals, two chocolate, and two coconut, and each one was perfect. Today we visited the mobile truck at Windward Mall Shopping Center, located at the corner of Haiku Rd and Kamehameha Highway in Kaneohe, HI. Friendly service by Edwin, quick line, and the same famous Leonard’s flavor. A must-try experience every visitor should have. 📍 Location visited: Windward Mall Shopping Center (truck) Corner of Haiku Rd & Kamehameha Hwy Kaneohe, HI 96744 8/26/2025 at 5:46pm
