A group of 7 of us came here for dinner after a meeting in Mililani. We were seated quickly after everyone in the party arrived, then our drink orders were taken. I had a water and Sprite, which was delicious with free refills. Once our party had a chance to decide, a server took our orders along with a few dietary restrictions (seafood allergy, nut allergy). I ordered the Meat Lovers Hibachi Combo which comes with Steak, Chicken, and Filet Mignon as the main proteins. When the chef came around to our table he was polite and casual as he went over everyone's orders and confirmed the allergies with their respective persons. The flair that is typical of the teppanyaki experience was a bit toned down for our group this evening, but everything was still entertaining. First came the miso soup and salad, both good but nothing special, then the sides and meats. Everything cooked on the flat top was generously seasoned needing no additional sauces. To my surprise the fried rice was actually perfectly cooked how I like it with areas of rice being koge (crispy burnt perfection). The yakisoba too was great and had a nice texture and flavor experience. The mixed vegetables were a bit of q let down texture wise as I prefer mine a bit on the firmer side, and the flavor was great and consistent with the rest of the meal so far, but for me the subtle taste of the actual vegetables were drowned out where I could only taste the sauce and seasonings. Next time I'd request light on the sauce. My biggest regret of the evening is not taking a picture of the meats as only the sides had been prepared up until the point where my plate picture was taken. Although the meats were as typical a presentation as you'd expect from a teppanyaki experience, mass prepared and then portioned out to whoever is supposed to have that particular meat type at their requests doneness level, they still looked amazing coming off the flat top and being served from the chefs spatula. For others wondering about the allergy situation, due to the seafood allergy in our group the meats were cooked first then the seafood so as to minimize the risk of contamination. Then, because of the nut allergy in our group we were informed that there should be no risk with our teppanyaki orders because vegetable oil is used instead of sesame oil, and nothing else ordered contains nuts. Overall, I would come back here again with friends or to celebrate an occasion. The experience is all together one of generally casual dining, but paired with an entertaining show, and exceptional attention by the waitstaff. Not once did my glasses sit empty where I was wondering if I could have a refill.

I have been to Sakura's 3 times. All three times that I've went, I absolutely enjoyed the food and the cooks. I have always did the Hibachi dinner for lunch. The prices are unbelievable inexpensive and the cooks give you a lot. Plus, it's really entertaining. The only reason I gave Sakura's 4 stars is because the last time I went with my best friend's, we had a female host that sat us at the hibachi table and she was not friendly at all. This was on Saturday, Oct 23, 2021 for lunch. Everyone else was really nice and we enjoyed ourselves. You have to stay consistent to be 5 stars with all employees and staff. I have tried the steak, shrimp, scallops, lobster, noodles, fried rice, salad, vegetables, and miso soup. All delicious! Do not skip out on the fried rice, your have to try it. Combination plates is a must. Also, if you go during lunch and don't want to sit at the hibachi table, you won't be able to get the lunch hibachi. That's what they told us so we opt to sit at the hibachi table again. Enjoy with friends or family. My family took me for my birthday and we had a blast. Out Hibachi cook, was awesome... 5 stars to him though! He played the birthday songs and sang. He was awesome. In fact, all the staff except the last girl that sat us at the table deserve 5 stars. Try it out and enjoy. Food delicious! Servers and cooks are great!

We had such a good time. The show was good, the staff was nice and the food was delicious. I had the Aloha combo which is steak, shrimp, and calimari. My husband had the Surf and Turf combo which was steak, shrimp, and lobster. Both meals came with miso soup, salad, noodles, rice (we paid extra for fried rice instead of steamed rice), and veggies. The food was so good. I've never had lobster before and that tasted so much better than I expected. It was even better in the yum yum sauce. I have never enjoyed calimari and thought I'd be giving it to my husband to eat but I was wrong. This was the first time I'd had it prepared this way and it was too good to give up. All of it was just delicious. I got a chocolate tini too which was good but a bit too strong for me. It was the kind of drink I could only really get down if I was already tipsy or drunk. I'll stick to a beer next time. My husband liked it though so if you prefer those strong drinks then its for you. He got a long island ice tea, he was about halfway done when he turns to me and smiles and said that ill probably have to drive home tonight. My husband also got the yellow tail tuna which was 2 small pieces. It was pretty expensive for how little he got. He said it was good but wouldn't spend that much on such a small dish again. Overall a wonderful place to go and family friendly. :)

Edit: while i was willing to just let this go after i said my peace, Sakura replied with more lies to save face. I reached out to postmates after i left the original post, see below, about what had happened. They first appologized on their, and sakuras behalf. Then explained how they work. Is that they places orders through the restaurants website, phone, or in person with a driver. That order is placed in my name, so it would read that i placed the order, just as if i had myself. They then confirm the order and schedualed time was placed, and accepted by Sakura. Then notify me it was successful. Also that the order was canceled on your end. This was not only comfirmed by the timing of the cancelation but also by postmates. That means when your employee realized the mistake did cancel my order and blamed it on the fact you do not work with postmates While i can believe that to be true, however, do to how they work it wouldnt read that way in your system it would read my name. It also explains why the order being over an hour late was not canceled till i called in and gave my name. The only way she knew it was posted through postmates was cause i said it was, allowing her to pass blame onto them instead of your company. They made up for the mistake and accepted responsibility on your behalf, gald some companies have integrity. So you should be grateful for them, however, that has made me change my rating for Sakura even lower now. Just be happy i cant post less then one star cause of how google ratings work. I just want the truth to be out there to help others, do not worry im not trying to get anything from Sakura wouldnt be able to trust the food after all this anyways. Hope your company can prosper seems im not the only one annoyed with how you treat customers it would seem.

Original : While i did enjoy the dine in experience and food, however i did have a problem with ordering online and through delivery aps. I schedual a delivery for a late valintines dinner for my militry spouse who was busy on valintines day. The order was accepted however after 45 minutes of it being late i called in to inquire the status of my meal. The hostest claimed the order was never placed and that they do not use the delivery aps, but would try to look up my order by my name. As soon as she had my name the order was then canceled and she claimed they had no way of knowing it was placed. She clearly canceled it and when asked to speak to someone higher up for she obviously lieing to me she then hung up on me. I hope that ill be refunded as well for everytime i call now she hangs up. Over all ruins my faith in this establishment and the way they...

Right from the start their menu is confusing AF. First, they have a hibachi lunch section and a hibachi dinner section. To order from the lunch section you have to sit at the grill, but the dinner section you don't have to. What? Came at lunch...so I can order the dinner items but not the LUNCH hibachi? (Yes I was told I could order from the dinner hibachi section) like I said hella confusing.

Second, being allergic to seafood it's nice to have the option to swap out the sides for something else but that's a no go. Not all restaurants do that and most times it's not that bad, but their menu items with no seafood are near zero.

Third their sides that are served, so are not sides from the regular menu. Like their hibachi noodles (no other noodle dish only with dinner hibachi items) and their flaming shrimp. Both items are only in the sides with the hibachi dinner.

I ended up ordering the teriyaki beef sizzling platter. I was glad I ordered it "as rare as possible" it cooked on the platter so I had some well done by the time I ate it. My two issues with the dish was over use of minced garlic and the cold parboiled broccoli. The side that was not in contact with sizzling platter was ice box cold.

I might order it again considering my limitation but I would also ask for extra sauce on the side. I liked the sauce and wouldn't mind dipping my vegetables and beef in it.

Suggestion to the restaurant. Make a separate menu for hibachi only items and don't present it to your customers who are not able to order from that menu. Also maybe heat the vegetables (ideally make it at time of order so that reheating wouldn't over cook it) having a sizzling hot side and an ice cold side on the same piece of broccoli was...
