I pre-ordered a bunch of food to take to my in-laws. My husband and I never have bought from this location but decided since it was on the way to our destination we would. At first everything seemed great, we were even praising them for the amount of sauce, as our normal location can be a bit stingy. Flash forward to us getting ready to eat and I'm noticing something/somethings are missing. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I called in a panic as I was afraid we weren't going to have enough. I originally thought I was missing a whole chicken plus ribs. Upon further inspection we realized the extra chicken we ordered was just packed with the chicken that came with the feast. I was asked if I could come pick it up, I agreed even though that meant driving back 20 minutes there and 20 min back again. On the way I received a phone call from the manager, saying whoever packed the food said they put the extra chicken in with the other chicken and ribs in styrafoam container in the bag. I told her I agree that the extra chicken was there but the ribs were nowhere to be found the only meat we had in Styrofoam was brisket. I get there and can here Heather telling people they wouldn't have ribs for at least 4 hours. I found that strange and wondered how I was getting a slab then but just presumed maybe bc I was this was the reason. Heather then told me to wait 10 minutes and they would have them out. I continue to hear others come in as she explains they are out of ribs. This is where my understanding and patience began to run thin. I'm not one to yell and plus I had family and friends from out of the country who were waiting for me. Heather sat down as if were besties and asked what time my company was arriving, I explained the company was already there waiting. She told me if she were me she wouldn't eat the ribs as they didn't look appetizing and as if she was letting me in on an insider secret. So I then said, ok is it ok then if you can just refund me the amount for the slab of ribs, so I can quickly go to a different location and pick them up. (I was on a mission at this point because I had left my company, and the out of country friend from Whales had ribs on her American Bucket list). Heather proceeded to tell me that wouldn't be possible bc all the stores would probably be out because no one planned for them to be as busy as they were and all the stores were getting hit. Problem 1 it's a holiday weekend so I didn't see that happening and 2 this particular location was practically empty. She then talked me into giving me pulled pork in it's place and I was seething. I immediately called Wentzville to place and order going through with BS she tried to spin asking if it would be an issue for me to get a slab...they seemed perplexed at me asking. So I was lied to, treated like I was stupid, subbed a less expensive meat all because of poor planning. My gut tells me they KNEW my ribs were not in the bag bc it sounds like the management did some poor planning and didn't expect they would need more. I'm patient but I don't appreciate being lied to, straight to my face. Like don't piss on me and tell me it's rain. This wasn't an issue of $ or anything I just wanted to supply my family with a decent meal. Lesson learned I will never be back to this location, and Heather shame on you, and you repeatedly told me you were management. Please do better then...
Read moreAte there tonight with family, several of us from out of town. Not many customers there, seated immediately, dinner service slow, food good, dessert incredibly slow - at least 30 minute wait during which time my restless 3yo toddler disappeared under the table and resurfaced with a roach trap stuck on his hand. I flung it away and it's currently in the corner by the long booth near the restrooms. As odd as it sounds, I didn't make a fuss because I was with family who aren't usually all together and because I'm from FL where traps are somewhat common due to our palmetto bugs (outside relative of the roach that live in palm trees), though in hindsight this part of the country only has German & American roaches, and through deduction I realize they wouldn't have traps if they haven't had a problem. Being in Hospitality myself, you should never leave something like that where a guest/customer/child can find it. Dessert sundae was not good either - just vanilla ice cream with a little Hershey's on it, could have made it at home in 1 minute...
Read moreI would give it 1 star but waiter guy was kind and prompt. We waited around an hour for food and there was only 5 tables occupied. Kept being told our food is coming and then 15 more minutes go by and nothing. We were about 5 minutes from getting up and leaving my wife and i and food came out. Wasnt like place was busy at all. Food was mediocre. Meat not right bread burnt on one side and stale. Just tasted old. I have been going to bandanas bbq since the first store opened and no matter how many other bbq places come and open up bandanas has still been my favorite. Lots of good food and service for not much money. Not this time. Stsy away from this location for now. We are going back to our regular store on south service road off 70 st.charles. hope it hssnt went down hill. Im still mad i even paid for that junk food we waited...
