Their double decker pepperoni is the stuff dreams are made of! Absolutely delicious. This past time we went, I branched out a bit and got pepperoni, bacon, and garlic. I never thought I'd say this, but it was simply too much bacon. I couldn't even tell there was garlic whatsoever, and the pepperoni was even hard to find. There was also a lot more loose, black char on the bottom of the crust than usual, which is the only bad thing about their pizza. I think maybe they reuse pans without cleaning them or don't wipe out their ovens or something, because there are always lots of loose burned bits on the bottom of the pizza. Usually it's manageable, but this past time there seemed to be more than usual.

JJ Twig’s is our favorite pizza place. In particular the JJ Twig’s location in Ofallon we believe far superior to the other locations. Let me be clear, all locations make a great pizza! The Ofallon locations pizza has more meat and cheese… and I’m not talking about a small difference. It’s nearly twice as big! We recently ordered from another location and when we told the manager the pizza wasn’t up to the JJ twigs name she refunded the money snd stated all locations make their pizzas the same. We immediately ordered the Ofallon JJ twigs pizza and drove west from the city! Below are photos of the pizzas side by side.

Tried their pizza for the first time after it was recommended to me. Desperately trying to find edible pizza after moving here from the Chicago area. I was hopeful when I saw they were from the Chicago area and had a lot of good reviews. Ordered a thin crust sausage, nothing too complicated. My pizza was burned around the edges and at the bottom of the crust in some areas. No sauce whatsoever on this pizza and it tasted similar to Imos, which is the worst. I can’t believe they actually put this pizza in a box and sent it home with me.

One star - Embarrassingly Bad Experience This was, hands down, one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. The service was practically nonexistent. Our waitress barely checked on us the entire time. She didn’t notice when our drinks were empty, and when we asked for more napkins, she handed us just one. For two people. I guess we were supposed to split it?

We ordered the Italian Sausage Bites as an appetizer, which were supposed to come with Italian bread crumbs, mozzarella, and Provel cheese. Instead, we got plain balls of meat — dry, flavorless, and completely missing all the advertised toppings. We didn’t even bother saying anything because, honestly, it was clear no one there cared.

Our entrees weren’t any better. The buns on our sandwiches were cold but somehow still toasted, with the bottom bun hard as a rock. To make things worse, my sister got her food first, and all I got was a sad plate of fries. When we asked, the waitress just said, “Sorry, we’re waiting for the cheese to melt on your sandwich.” Really? That took ten more minutes? My sister had already finished her meal by the time mine finally showed up.

And where was the manager during all of this? Glued to the TV, watching the baseball game like he was at a bar with his buddies instead of running a restaurant. He showed absolutely no interest in what was going on in the dining area.

The atmosphere was just as dead as the service — no energy, no attention to detail, no hospitality. We left irritated, hungry, and disappointed. Skip this place. You’d get better service and food at a...

If i could give less than 1 star if i could. The food is sub par as well as there service, the prices are high even for todays economy. The one male host thinks he's better than everybody lots of attitude., Honestly the nail in your coffin and the food isn't woth the wait nor the price totally sub par neighborhood riff raff bar. To be fair Ive given this place several tries over the last couple years and i e decided its to expensive I as Ive noticed higher than normal price increases and smaller portions, longer than usual wait times. Example i waited, not sure why, after i was told it would ve an hour before o could get a meatball sandwich... When it arrived the fries were old and old and the bun was so soggy i had to use a knife and fork to eat it and the utensils werent clean either and i waited for minutes for utensils as my fries got colder and harder and sandwich got colder and soggier. So... Having more bad experiences than good it safe to say i wont EVER VE BACK NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS LESS THAN HIGH PRICED JOINTTO ANYONE I KNOW EVER .......

This review is for the Lake of the Ozarks location

Let me start by saying the bartender Jess was phenomenal. One of the few things acceptable at this place. We had a food allergy and she replaced it with something else immediately, we did not sit at the bar and did not order drinks but the whole time she was running around making sure everything was done. Great employee. Very accommodating. Friendly and professional. Now for the rest of the restaurant good atmosphere but the food is subpar. We ordered the Tuesday night steak special switch from the strip to the ribeye of which both of our steaks were not cooked correctly. Both very overcooked and more fat than steak. The salad bar had lettuce that was wilted and had lettuce hearts in it, not great to bite into. The rest of the salad bar was almost completely empty. Didn't seem like anyone had a desire to fill it either until guess who; Jess, said something to someone to get it corrected. I wouldn't say it's a bad place, just not a place that they seem to care if you come...
