Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in O'Hara Township

We stopped by the fox chapel location for ice cream this afternoon and I was excited to try some new flavors since I never get Baskin-Robbins. The employee seemed annoyed that I wanted to sample the flavors and “cut me off” after trying 3 of the 4 I was interested in. I thought he was joking hut he told me they had a 3 sample rule otherwise people would be there all day. I informed him that I didn’t need any of his ice cream then and left without buying anything. I’ve worked in food service in the past and would never be this rude to a customer. I’m a man in my 30’s who wasn’t trying to take advantage of free samples, just excited about a new thing and wanting to pick something I would really love. Ive never felt so confused and angry at something like ice cream. I will never go back to this franchise or any of the other locations, my money is better spent somewhere that understands dessert is supposed to be...

I had an appt in Fox Chapel and I was beyond thrilled on Tuesday, September 30th when I drove by & saw the Baskin Robbins on Freeport Road was still there. I googled their hours and decided to wait 13 minutes until they opened since I’m not from that area. The owner (James ?) noticed I was sitting outside, waiting for them to open. He came out and asked if I waiting to come in and he opened his doors for me. He was super friendly & I would highly recommend anyone to go to his store in Fox Chapel. I can’t say that I’ve ever had an experience as good as this one 🤩🙌🏻 this shows there is still humanity & good people in this dark & fallen world we live...

I can't say enough good things about this location, the owners, and the employees! I called them on short notice and made a request for a custom cake for my wife's birthday. Although this custom request has been denied or been an "issue" in years past at several other BR locations, the owner here immediately said they could do it , no problem. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and appreciative of my business, and they had the cake ready for me in less than 48 hrs. And the custom order was exactly what we wanted. THANK YOU! We will definitely be repeat customers...
