The atmosphere is like a hunting lodge with more light and lighter wood. It feels cozy even though it is a very large place. The dining room is separated in smaller segments so you aren't sitting in the middle of one massive room. The bar area is it's own segment, though not walled in to make you feel apart from the rest of the restaurant. The thing we did not care for was the volume of the music shortly after we arrive. We were standing at the host station and it was cranked to eardrum-splitting levels. Even the host and wait staff flinched and then commented on it being obnoxious. Once seated, the server (not our server just covering for drinks) explained they were doing a line dance and it would go back to normal as soon as they were done. I get that you want to have fun and draw attention to staff antics, but you don't need to deafen people to accomplish this. Our server's name was Sage. Very nice. Bubby but not obnoxious. She repeated our orders back to us to insure they were right. She came around just the right amount of time. We would enjoy having her again. There were a few new servers being trained by current staff and I have to say watching them with the newbies was refreshing. I saw encouragement, support, and a genuine sense that they wanted their trainee to succeed. No huffing or frustration. No eye rolling behind their backs. I've seen those behaviors elsewhere and it's very off-putting. The food is delicious. I would be happy just sitting and eating a few baskets of buns with the cinnamon butter. It's so good. Because we were getting steaks (and ate the buns) we passed on getting an appetizer. Mom got the Road Kill which is chopped steak with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and cheese (forgot what kind). She paired it with a Sweet Potato side with butter and brown sugar. I chose the 6oz Sirloin and paired it with the Loaded Baked Potato. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Melted in my mouth. The potato was good - for the most part. It was unfortunately crusted in salt on the outside. Being someone who does not add salt to any meal it was most distressing. Combining that with the bacon on top, made it WAY too salty overall. I was able to scrape and wipe most of that crusted salt off the exterior so it became edible. Just be aware of this so if you can ask for it NOT to be rolled in salt, I would recommend. We also both had a House Salad. Even skipping the appetizers, we still couldn't finish and took half our dinners home.

This Texas Roadhouse is fairly new, and being a Google Local Guide, it was only right to give them a visit for a review. Since I've become a bit disappointed in the service received at the other local Roadhouses in Southeast Wisconsin, I had high hopes that this location would get it right. If you'd like to get around the wait time, it's HIGHLY suggested that you reserve a table at the link provided. We arrived and were seated within 4 minutes. Maybe 7-10 minutes later our waiter arrived to take our drink order. Approximately 5 minutes later she returned with the beverages, minus my drink from the bar. Understandable. She went ahead and took our food order, and the wait begins. Another server brought our salads out 5 minutes later, and still no drink. Long story short, our visit to this location lasted about 50 minutes from wait til tab. Not that bad, but based off of other reviews I went over prior to this visit, you'll get mixed reviews as did I. Our waitress seemed a bit uninterested and never really gave us a chance to request things we wanted or needed, and at times didn't ask. She sat my drink on the table with a "Here ya' go" and kept it moving like a drive-by, and my husband wanted more dressing for his salad, but didn't get the chance to ask. Their "fall off the bone" ribs that they brag about to everyone when they come in, we're partially that. Yes, some parts fall off the bone, but they were a bit dry on the outside, on top of the fact they barely put sauce on them (see picture provided). On the OTHER hand, the porkchops the hubs had were DEE-LICIOUS. Great grill marks, juicy inside, and not disappointing. If I have to give constructive criticism on this particular location, I would suggest the employees wash their hands for longer than 5 seconds after cleaning their nose in the restroom (seen a waitress that THANKFULLY wasn't mine do this while scrubbing my hands), the employees should look at this as a fun job that way they may enjoy it (I think about applying everytime I eat at a location just to boost morale because the atmosphere screams FUN to me), and last but not least.....more sangria in the sangria margaritas (mine was lacking. See the photo privided). From 1-5, they receive a 4. P.S THERE'S A MENU WITH 11 OPTIONS AT $11.99 FROM 3-5:30 PM (the restaurant gets quiet and dies down starting at 6. We seen the crowd as it left).

Texas Roadhouse: Texas Roadhouse was founded in 1993, with its first location in Clarksville, Indiana of all places. Although it's been around for over three decades, this was my first time visiting a location. My family and I dined at the Oak Creek location on 5/23/25 around 6:00pm. The place was packed, and I initially had a hard time finding parking. Before getting into the food, I do have to say that I'm disappointed that they do not take reservations. That's a peeve of mine when it comes to restaurants. I see no reason not to do it, especially if the restaurant does a non-refundable deposit that goes towards the bill as long as you show up. Anyway, the interior was tastefully decorated, and both the restaurant and bathroom were clean. It did get a little loud making it difficult to converse, but that's expected for this type of joint. Our server Ethan did an excellent job of keeping everyone's order straight and was polite and attentive. Each table comes with a bag of peanuts and bucket to deposit the shells in. I thought that was a nice touch. First up was my Caesar side salad. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. Each salad also comes with a plentiful amount of cheese and crunchy croutons. For my entree I went with their 6oz Dallas Filet, smothered in jack cheese and sautĂ©ed mushrooms. My steak was done medium just as I requested and was satisfyingly tender. I've had cuts from more high-end steakhouses that had more of a "melt in my mouth" feel, but for a chain this was alright. Being a Cheesehead I loved that there was an option to add melty jack cheese and found it paired nicely with the meat and sautĂ©ed mushrooms. Well done Texas Roadhouse, this steak is Doughboy approved 😋 Doughboy_Food_Reviews *I got Macaroni & Cheese for my other side but will address that in a separate review.

We eat at TRH about once a month. Last night we were celebrating our 40th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY a couple days early. It started off BAD right from the start! I asked for a booth that was not the small ones-you have no room for your main meal, salad or appetizer. I said I am disabled-I was using a cane. We get seated in the bar area where you have to STEP up to get into the booth! Really I am disabled and you give us that! I struggled to get seated. We were not given any silverware, my husband went to get some and there was only 1 set. He opened it and the knife was FILTHY! It looked like it was never washed and how could someone wrap it in a napkin seeing that! Our server was LIDIA We said we have no silverware-couldn't butter our buns and I said about the FILTHY KNIFE. She said "OK" She couldn't care less that things started off BAD!! We placed our order and we were told the salad would come before the meal, We said that was fine. We took the small plates to have our rolls and I showed my husband look this plate if FILTHY! DRIED STUCK ON FOOD! At that point we should have left and it only got WORSE! We waited forever for our salad and another person not Lidia brought our salads and moments later our food. I said to the person who put my plate in front of me WHAT IS THAT? It was a HUGE piece of what looked like deep fried breading that filled the WHOLE PLATE!! She said oh that is the country fried sirloin, I pulled the ends off and I said look this is just breading, nothing inside! She said oh our chicken is the same way. She told me I could decide if I wanted something else. It looked DISGUSTING! LIDIA came back and I ordered smothered chicken. We piled our small filthy plates and our salad bowls up before she came back and she never took them. The manager came over and we told her we were celebrating our 40th anniversary and told her of all the issues, she said we clearly dropped the ball here. She asked if I got my other chicken yet. I said no and since it was a refire I should not be waiting that long. She went into the kitchen and finally LIDIA comes over. Never asked if we wanted refills, she could really care less. We said if it is not being cooked then stop the ticket and we are done! Just then the chicken comes out. We were told that our ticket would be adjusted-which it was, my dinner was removed and she also gave us $20 off. What didn't make sense was to list both of my dinners, comp one, then gives $20 off. The manager gave us a comp ticket for 2 meals up to $30. My husband told her that his fish was mushy and this morning he said he was sick to his stomach all night from the fish. I have had a gut ache as well! This was the WORST experience we have ever had with TRH. LIDIA NEEDS SERIOUS TRAINING! CLEAN UP CUSTOMERS DISHES, OFFER REFILLS AND SHOW CARE!!!! I have read other reviews and LIDIA is mentioned with having issues. If you want to continue to have satisfied customers and not ending up COMPING TICKETS the COOKS NEED SERIOUS TRAINING BEFORE SENDING OUT FOOD, WHOMEVER IS DOING DISHES NEEDS TRAINING AND WHOMEVER IS WRAPPING SILVERWARE SHOULD MAKE SURE PEOPLE GET CLEAN UTENSILS! TRH DROPPED THE BALL! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT TO CELEBRATING OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY!!!

Not sure if it's worth going back to use the $30 comp...

My girlfriend & I decided to give the Texas Roadhouse in Oak Creek a try on Friday evening (11/8/2024) at around 4:30pm for dinner. Normally we eat at the Texas Roadhouse in New Berlin which always was excellent in service & meals, but we wanted to try the new one in Oak Creek as it's only about two miles from our house. We ordered two bone-in Ribeye steaks the same exact way and waited for our meal. Our waitress Alison was our server that evening and was great! Our steaks, salad, and baked Potatoe were very good except the skin was hard to cut through, and even harder to eat (I usually eat the Potatoe skin as well). The actual Potatoe was good without the skin. To make a long story short, we were completely happy with our service, food, and how pleasant out waitress was to us. So happy in fact that we purchased a $90 gift certificate to use in the future as you get $15 in coupons to use in the future as well. But now comes the big disappointment! We paid cash for our meal and got our food receipt that showed a $1.99 charge for using a tabletop kiosk that apparently can be used to play games and pay your bill with a credit card. My girlfriend clicked on it not knowing what this device was, and saw that games were on it to play, then showed it to me, then turned it back off as neither one of us were interested in playing any games, or even using a credit card to swipe it with. I was handed the receipt and paid our bill, which included our $84 meal, plus another$90 for the gift card, plus I tipped the waitress $25 as we were so happy with how she had taken care of us. The next day, I noticed a charge for $1.99 was tacked onto our bill for turning on the tabletop Kiosk. I was very upset with this deceiving method to poach more cash out of us that we weren't even interested in. My girlfriend took the receipt back to Texas Roadhouse, along with the $90 gift certificate to ask for a refund for both the Kiosk charge and the $90 dollar gift certificate. The male manger on duty would not refund the money for the gift card but gave her a $20 gift certificate plus a voucher for a free appetizer. I know two dollars doesn't sound like very much, but how many people are unaware of this practice because they never get an itemized receipt due to using a credit card, or just aren't paying attention to what they're being charged for. So now I will not ever enter a Texas Roadhouse anywhere ever again as I see this as a corporate money grab for basically doing nothing in return. It seems like corporate business suicide to try to basically steal from customers who patronize...
