Felt like a nightmare going through the store. It is laid out in a maze like setup of rooms and later retail categories. You get through the store following an isle with arrows pointing the direction. You have a small cart to place small items in, larger items you right on a list and they pull them from a warehouse shelf at the end. Also thats where the seasonal stuff will be displayed.
If you know the store there are short cuts, but if you go the wrong way you will go backwards and feel like you are in a never ending path. The route is a mile long and if your partner is a browser be prepared to spend a long time. Our visit lasted nearly 3 hours. Luckily I enjoy spending time with my wife. You see I'm smiling because we finally got to the end. Bring shopping bags because they don't offer any diposable carry out boxes or bags like costco.

Read moreWhat more can you say than an oasis in the middle of a big store? The menu is consistent and definitely a value for what is received. The salads are fresh, hot food hot, cold food cold. It reminded me of a cross between a hush puppy and squash, honestly they taste a bit better than the meatballs that are the consistency of a hot dog. I'll go back to the veggie ball next time. Either way choose your round thing.
The cauliflower disc that comes with the salmon is also delicious.
Don't forget your tray cart when getting in the line, it's a great addition to the workflow.
What's not to love about eating a quick meal with real silverware?
Of course we'll be back for a good meal on...
Read moreOk. Ikea is a furniture store - I understand that. The store is huge and the prices are good. That is fine but the real reason I go (as I don't buy much furniture) is for the main restaurant (there are two). You must wind your way through the store to reach the restaurant - almost like using a treasure map where the restaurant is the "X that marks the spot". It is worth every step. The food is served cafeteria style and is very fresh and tasty. In addition to that, the prices are very reasonable. For the cost of a quarter-pounder meal, I had Swedish meatballs, beans, mashed potatoes and a bowl of chicken stew. There are kids meals and it works out to be less than Happy meals with more food. Definitely...
