Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Oak Park

I purchased a regular sandwich and paid additional for jumbo. They gave me a regular sub with regular amount of meat. I attempted to take it back was told to wait until tomorrow because they were about to close, call back and speak with the owner.

I called, called and called. Phone kept picking up and hanging up. I went back today and they stated the sandwich was jumbo, refused to remake because half was eaten. Mentioning again I tried to take it back last night. At the least they could’ve made it right. I’m am very disappointed and also the quality of the food horrible, customer service horrible.

The owner attitude was horrible and unwilling to satisfy a long time customer. No attempt to make things right. I use to go there all the time but will not be patronizing this place anymore. Especially after spending damn near $20 for one sandwich where they decreased the portion size. Please believe the corporate office was notified as well. Sad

One last thing the owner lied to corporate and said I didn’t bring back a half sandwich and offered me a discount. The things people say. My review still stands and a long time customer...

I would give this location a minus five stars if I could. My husband and I drove from Farmington Hills to this Tubby's location because they were the only one open late, and when we got there, 30 minutes before closing, we were told we could only have cold food from the menu that the grill was closed. We wanted a Tubby's mushroom, steak, and cheese. That's what we drove all that way for. If we wanted cold food, we could of stayed at home and made sandwiches. To make the night a little bit worse... it was the manager who told us we weren't getting what we're came for and he was rude and nasty about it as if we were in the wrong for even showing up there. Tubby's is our absolute favorite sub shop, but friends, don't go to...

Be aware, this Tubby’s charges higher prices than what is on their large overhead menu. I ordered a large sub, and a salad and my total was $7 higher than their menu. I had already paid and was questioning pricing in my head while I waited for my food. I wasn’t given a receipt until I received my food so I checked it when I got to my car. My sandwich was posted as $10.75, Jumbo was $2.00, and the salad was $6. You can see from my receipt the actual prices ($13.75, $3.00, $9.00).

When I went back inside to ask about it they just told me “the menu is wrong and we need to get it changed out”. No refund offered, they didn’t...
