I’m a in person sharer for the most part, but I write this in hopes they see. Mainly because I wanted this to be public for everyone to see. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. Ways to improve. Learn to how get a better quality cook on meats. The ribs were great. Fall off the bone Tennessee style. They were awesome and are going to be great leftovers. The ribeye. Good cut, but what will make it next level, along with getting a good sear on both sides not just one, trimming before cooking will increase the quality of your steaks and taste! Still a 4/5 steak. The Mac & Cheese is a little inconsistent. Mine was clumpy others were kind of liquid but still great tasting. Turkey was juicy & a decent cut. Not a big cut but definitely small. Overall the food was great but it felt like a rushed cooking. The desert was spot on. Can’t do any better. Felt like my mamma and grandma smacked me in the face with their home made chocolate pie. Classic that can easily be messed up if not made right. With SMALL improvements with quality, this will definitely be a 5/5 Local Oak Ridge Tennessee restaurant!! I will definitely come back. It is hard for me to find places that has decent food. This was better than fresh & hot crackle barrel. This was definitely a soul food restaurant. 10 out of 10 returning again. I don’t go to many restaurants anymore because if I spend $100-$150, I want at least the food to be made with care & good service. This was just a good experience as well. I went during a busy time and they still nailed...

This another of my favorite places. My usual fair is either fried catfish, very lightly floured, or fried chicken wings, again lightly floured. The roast beef is a favorite of several family member as well as the salmon. For vegetables I love their au gratin potatoes, sweet potato casserole, and cream corn. The last is only available in the the fall - to early winter. My family have tried the menu and the specials of vegetables. They all pass with a yummy sound. One of daughter's favorite is the Thursday Million Dollar Spaghetti. It's her treat for the week.

The desserts, oh wow. The ones I've tried are Terry Mullins Banana pudding that comes in a ball jar with lid. Coconut cream pie, I have to give half the whole pie to people otherwise I'd eat the entire thing myself. The multu-layered chocolate cake is very chocolatey and also a family favorite.

The staff greet you and are always friendly and give just the right amount of attention. They know their regulars.

Dean's started serving breakfast only on Saturdays, no to go orders. I haven't eaten their for breakfast, but I trust them to have quality with this new fair.

Being situated close to The Oak Ridge Playhouse, Blankenship Field for Friday games, and the yearly Lavender Festival is also a bonus. There are shops in Jackson Square to visit as well.

If you have children who love to play in a splash pad, concrete, bring some towels. The children love it. And their is a old fashion horse ride in...

Customer Service is everything!!! The female owner is very rude and would rather ask you to leave than to hear what you have to say.

First of all... I was seated before at least 2 other tables. After 10 minutes of waiting for a server to come over, I decided to pack up my one year old daughters things and leave. On my way out I approached the lady at the hostess stand to inform her I would be leaving and that no one had came to the table yet but had been to other tables that were seated after me. She was so offended, wanted to argue with me telling me that I hadn’t even been there long enough!! Well, 10 minutes is more than enough time to even get a “hi”, from your server!! She then angrily told me she would personally get my drink if I wanted to sit down and act nicely that they were very busy or she’d have to ask me to leave! What?!?! Am I your child??? Sweetheart, I’m already leaving. Did I even mention this was my 2nd time trying to dine there this week????? No matter how good the food is, If your customer service is that unpleasant coming from the owner, it’s a place that I will never spend another dime. Seems like your head is so big because you have good business, that it doesn’t bother you to lose a customer or three! I will pray for your rude mouth, that you may improve your customer service skills after I write this review in hopes that no one else has to deal with your rudeness and...

Oh my gosh, where do I start. Our waitress was Tonya and she was phenomenal. Great suggestions that were spot on. First off, the tea is sweetened with orange juice. We tried it at the end of the meal and it was actually very good. That shocked us. The cornbread has just a hint of sweetness and the rolls were great. I did not add any butter, my wife did. On to the main course. My wife got pork chops at the suggestion of the waitress and in 32 years, she has never gotten pork chops. She was soooo glad she did. The au gratin potatoes...BAM! Awesome. Pint-sized were good. There's just not a lot to do with those. For my meal, I got the pot roast. It was great for restaurant pot roast. Tender, juicy, flavorful. Just needed a little salt. I also got the grilled squash and no I want to try this. Lots of flavor. The star of my plate was the corn pudding. Oh my gosh. I could have gotten that 3 times and still wanted more. Finally moving on to dessert. There are so many choices. We got it down to the German Chocolat cake, carrot cake or Italian cream cake. So we went with Tonyas suggestion since she was spot on with the meal. Italian cream cake won. If we would have been going g straight home, we would have bought an entire cake. It was that good. Great food that was served hot and an attentive waitress to match the quality. Again, this was worth the hour drive!!!

Edit: 09/08/25 The last two experiences just hasn't been as good. I wish ot wasn't so, but the flavor, quality and portion size have all suffered a downward trend. First experience. The food was excellent and they weren't stingy with it either. This place has an upscale mom and pop vibe featuring southern inspired cuisine and deserts. I wish I had looked at the desert case before ordering so much good food. I can recommend the grilled pork loin it was delicious and with 3 vegetables was a little more than I could finish for lunch. Second visit: The meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and broccoli casserole were all delicious. The peanut butter brownie didn't last long enough for a picture. I took the fired coconut and a chocolate pies home for later. Third visit: The Grilled Bone in Pork Chops were smokey and delicious. I'll be coming back for these. The peanut butter brownie is a must have.for dessert. Fourth visit: The Herb Roasted Pork Loin is outstanding. A bite of half meat and dressing with gravy come together very well. There is so much flavor in the herb crust on the Pork Loin I was only disappointed I didn't have more. The Peanut butter brownie I had for dessert was certainly some consolation.

Went to Dean's tonight for the first time. Mother in law invited us to go out to dinner and surprised us with Dean's. Hubby had their burger and fries. He said it was excellent and raved about the hand cut homemade fries. I had turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole .Turkey was so tender, the gravy was very good too. The dressing was different than mine, but it was great nonetheless. Thee mashed potatoes were real with real butter and the sweet potato casserole was just what I needed. Mother in law just wanted veggies. She was bragging before we got there that they had wood fire grilled squash and she was excited for that! Other than a burger he gets cooked at home, I have never heard hubby rave about a burger and fries like he did tonight. We were all blown away! Our waiter, Kevin, was very attentive and helpful. I didn't think to get a picture of any of our plates because they looked to good and we were all 3 famished, but I did order a brownie to take home. OMG it was superb! Picture attached! Thank you all for a wonderful experience! We will be back!
