If I were to spin a tale of unexpected discovery and gastronomic delight, NY Bagels would take center stage. Picture me: lost in a sea of plazas, zigzagging like a mouse in a maze, on a quest to find the fabled Bagel of Everything. My destination? A location as elusive as the bagel's recipe itself. Then, as if scripted in a plot twist, the X on my treasure map was a... gas station? My heart did a little comedic double-take, expecting fuel pumps and air fresheners. But lo and behold! Attached to this temple of transportation was a restaurant, its sign shining like a lighthouse - NY Bagels. It was as if the gods of gastronomy themselves had decided to crash the most unexpected of venues. Finally, the object of my affection – the Everything Bagel, nestled delicately within a warm blanket of cream cheese. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, a culinary rollercoaster that left my tastebuds screaming for more. It was as if I had unlocked the secret level in the game of breakfast foods. In the end, NY Bagels isn't just a hidden gem; it's a full-fledged gastronomic theme park attached to a gas station, of all places. A wild ride, a plot twist, and a happy ending - all wrapped in the warm embrace of an everything bagel. The perfect five-star review for an unforgettable adventure, proving once and for all that the best things in life are often found in the most unexpected places.

This is an amazing hidden gem in Orlando. Very small, local place, with excellent food. I've gotten food here a few times and it's definitely worth it. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. The lox sandwich is a huge portion, they also have a specialty NY bagel which is basically an everything bagel with cheese and Italian seasoning (it's delicious). Last time I ordered I also got a bag of yesterday's bagels which are very reasonably priced and provide a good mix. I was able to try flavors I wouldn't normally including their rainbow bagel (plain just cute!). This place does get busy, despite it's unassuming location - so be prepared to wait a little bit if you come during a peak time. There are a few tables outside, but this is really more of a grab and go. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a good bagel!

It cannot be denied that the stuffed bagels are delicious but all the deliciousness of those does not compensate for the poor service of the lady at the till (the owner), she does not serve correctly, she does not clarify doubts, she asks questions with shouts and her employees only say “She is the owner.” I had a big conflict there with her for not understanding what I was asking (of course, my English is not very good) and she started yelling at me and widening her eyes with an expression of complaint, her employees did nothing and didn't calm her down either. . In the end my Bagel looked like it was NOT her and they didn't add some ingredients that she had paid for. It is a place that forces you to pay to then prepare the food. This place should save the owner of it and place someone “nice” at the register.

I wish I would have thought to take a picture (they are good attention grabbers and all) but somehow it slipped my mind.

Any who, story time….When news broke of Madeline Soto being missing I immediately went into OMG, this could be me, I have 13 year old girls mode and jumped to start helping share her missing posters, etc.

It was through all of that I saw posts about NY Bagel Deli and Pizza being so kind to help that I liked their FB page and looked at their menu

On 3/20 it was a coworkers Birthday (the one who loves bagels) so I decided I would drive out that morning and get bagels from this place for the office

OMG y’all ♥️🤯🎉

On 3/24 I went back for more

On 3/29 I’m going back again!!!

I am SOLD, hooked, OBSESSED, adjective, adjective, adjective (lol)

Not only are these the BEST bagels I’ve EVER had (no lie….and everyone in the office agrees) but their cream cheeses are on point too; we had regular, blueberry, cranberry walnut, veggie and onion chive

Best of all was the service though

For whatever reason I really wasn’t expecting to be met with such kind and friendly service so early in the morning 🤣🤣🤣 (I’m not a morning person)

We were chatting it up and I explained how I was getting these for my coworkers Birthday and how mine was coming soon as well…he was quick to wish me a Happy Birthday and when I was done cashing out he threw in a little box of cookies into my bag for my Birthday 😳💖🤯

Who does that these days?!?!

The amount of $$$ I spend at Publix I wish they would 🤣🤣🤣 but my point is how taken aback I was at the sincerity of kindness they displayed and it was my first time ever coming!!!!

Even though it’s a bit of a drive for me, I genuinely don’t mind for excellent food

Tomorrow we will be coming for Friday night pizza after our volleyball game so my next review may just be about pizza!!! ♥️🍕

Anyways, go check them out!!!

I guarantee you won’t be...

There seems to be a panache to associate foods with NY, maybe it is deserved and maybe it is not, I truly have no clue, but for a native Floridian, being associated with NY is neither here nor there for me.

With all that said, I visited this bagel shop last Saturday and the bagel and cream cheese were perfectly fine. It was nicely toasted and I was given a nice amount cream cheese, in fact, I was given so much cream cheese, I could have given my wife half of the amount I was given and I still would have had a good amount for my bagel.

The bagel had a nice texture and did not seem stale or old in any way which some other reviews commented on.

I have been to New York City twice in my life, none of those times have I ever eaten a bagel, so I cannot speak to the fact if they are a "real" NY Bagel or not, I have no frame of reference.

When I think Bagel in Orlando, I think Bagel King and this bagel was actually better than the Bagel King.

The Bagel King wins in ambiance because it has a dinning room and offers full meals while NY Bagel & Deli is more of just a small shop meant for to-go orders.

Other reviews wrote about bad customer service, I did not experience that, the employees that I did interact with were all polite and respectful.

At the end of the day the bagel was tasty, the cream cheese was more than plentiful and coffee was hot, I have...
