The rooms were clean and the space was decent...but the beds are god awful I feel bruised my back is in so much pain I'm sleeping on the living room couch instead. The whole point of staying somewhere is to have a decent sleep and I couldn't sleep at all on that bed. I think they covered with a pillow top to try to improve the situation but it just needs replaced. My friends feel the same about theirs, but they don't have as bad of back problems. There is a usable kitchen, with a coffee pot and stove and some dishes and pots...they could get a little better pans, but it was fine. The kitchen island is spacious and there's plenty of room to make food and sit. The fridge is nice and cold, but the ice is intolerable idk what is in the water it's supposed to be filtered through the fridge filter but it is absolutely awful tasting, the water is as well, so definitely buy bottle water and bring your own ice if using it for drinks. There's a high powered microwave, a washer and dryer and a dishwasher too, which are all decent. The bathrooms are good, basic shower/bath combo and the water is strong and hot. They could do some better towels but they were usable. There were two rolls of tp, but they should definitely leave a couple more if it's a group staying for several days...down to the last few pieces here. There is a TV in every room and one in the living room that's decent, although the remote is a little confusing. The location is good for what we were doing, and it's a decent area overall. There's a few stores close and it wasn't far to walk to our destination. The amenities include a pool, which is ok. It was a decent area, but they could definitely do maybe more than 5 ft at the deepest?! Mostly 3.5 ft with one deepish spot in the very middle. The chairs are ok on the one side and there is a bar. It was a little disappointing there were no towels there you were supposed to bring your own, the site says towel service provided. I wouldn't have minded if it was a bit closer, they're apparently renovating the other pool area and I was staying in the other side of the complex. The bathrooms were clean and people...
Read moreThe Reserve at Vista Cay is a great self-catering resort that is centrally located to all of the area attractions. Many of the attractions and restaurants are within a 20-minute drive with convenient access to the interstate and major roadways.
It's great place to stay for families whether you choose to cook, dine out, or have meals delivered. A Publix grocery store with a delivery service and a number of eateries are located in the adjacent shopping center and along Universal Blvd. and International Drive.
There are also number of amenities to enjoy. The on-site amenities include a pool with access to the clubhouse, fitness room, and game room at the main clubhouse. Each condo suite includes a washer and dryer, towels, kitchenware, and dinnerware. There's also a balcony on which you can relax and unwind as you catch a glimpse of the closing fireworks from a neighboring park.
I would also recommend The Reserve at Vista Cay for locals who enjoy staycations and small groups gathering for any occasion. It's definitely worth checking out when in the...
Read moreWe recently went on a tour of Vista Cay and I have to say I was not impressed. They said it was a luxury building and that it was built only 2 yrs ago but it seemed already run down and lacking maintenance. The hallways are very basic with poor lighting and there are trash bins 🤢 that obviously smell as soon as you step off the elevator. The rooms are basic to be honest when they describe luxury this is not the image that comes to mind. Also because the resort is also a residential building there are many balconies that lack maintenance and it's not really appealing. They do have an in room service system that I liked but it wasn't even working lol 🤣 so there's that. I don't know some might say the location of the place is worth over looking some things because it is like right across the street from Universal Epic but after the presentation I really was just expecting more. So for that reason I would not...
