I go here loyally five days a week. Today was just another one of my stops. As im ordering my drink i notice on the screen it didn't have the correct amount of pumps i asked for in my drink so i asked the associate, Crystal who was taking my order if she could make sure it was the number of pumps i asked for. She rudely said "ok, ok, ok!" I finished ordering and waitied my turn to get up to the window to pay for my order. I noticed she is one of the familiar faces i see daily. I asked her if she was having a bad day, and she in return tells me she has a double ear infection and probably didnt hear me. Then she turned around and asked "what's your problem?" Floored that i was asked what my so-called problem was i explained politely that she came off a little rude. She gave me two thumbs up and said i was " awesome" Another worker came to the window to hand me one of the items and i asked to speak to a supervisor and she said she was one of them on shift. So i explained the interaction that took place with Crystal and she said she wasnt feeling well and apologized. As she left the window, Crystal came back to the window to tell me she hasnt had a break in three hours. Not sure why she felt i needed that information or that it justified her horrible customer service. She gave me two thumbs up again, told me i was "awesome"....again. As if to politely tell me to go screw myself. Very antagonistic with her words and actions. I have never, ever had such a horrible experience. What once was my go-to place for a coffee will be no longer. I hope that Crystal realizes after she feels better and gets that break she desperately deserved that she is in customer service and should not take her anger or frustrations out on the public. I would be mortified if my staff treated customers the way she did. Im sure i wasnt the only one who got to experience her...
Read moreStarbucks is Starbucks, just about the same wherever you go. The problem we had last Saturday was we pulled into the drive through line, and we sat, and sat and need I say it again? We sat some more. We drove through Starbucks because we could order through the app. We thought about going through the other 'local coffee' kiosk, but we thought Starbucks would be faster. Wrong! The line crept up slowly (40 minutes later, yes I'm serious) we reached the window. We had to tell them, then show them that we had paid for the order through the app, we ordered 3 drinks, the first drink handed to us was a very simple hot Venti Americano and it was cold. About 3 minutes later we get the second drink, again a simple grande frappuccino. The third cup came another 4 minutes later, it was also extremely easy, a grande cold brew coffee with vanilla sweet cream, we wanted a nitro brew, but as always, they were out. Our order was so incredibly easy a youngster who doesn't even know what the word barista means could have made our complete order and gave it to us 1-2-3. I don't know how many employees were working while we waited. But between each cup given into our car, over the span of approximately 9 minutes, there was an awful amount of personal chitchat between the widow person & other employees. TMI is an understatement. Ridiculously unprofessional! We seriously doubt we'll ever be back. There's choices in Oakdale and we will become regular...
Read moreOAKDALE STARBUCKS: This place should be called, "THE LAST STOP WATERING HOLE. " Yes folks, it's the last Starbucks between Oakdale and Yosemite. We always stop here, and I'm sure other people stop here, as their last stop before Yosemite to get their last Starbucks fix. It is also the 1st place we stop on our way back home. I also have to say it is some of the best coffee I've had in California. Nonetheless, today, I opted for a Passion Tea. Just look at how beautiful that color is and its taste is just as good as it looks. You know, I don't think I've had any drinks at this Starbucks that are bad. Another big plus is that the people at Starbucks are kind professional and helpful. One thing I don't like is their bathrooms--it doesn't seem like they can manage to keep them clean. I know that has a lot to do with the customers, but you know the responsibility eventually falls upon the shoulders of the employees. This one negative aspect brings this Starbucks down 1 star. If it weren't for this it would be a 5 star restaurant here in this Starbucks does excellent job virtually all around with this 1 exception. I forgot to mention the parking is in the back you can't see much parking from the front so you have to drive around to the back. But there is...
