Been here several times since their change in ownership. Happy to report the food is as good as ever. They even have to option of grilling the meat for you at your table, which is a great time saver and everyone gets to enjoy the food.

Last time we came here, we got the garlic soy friend chicken, the marinated short ribs, spicy rice cakes, chicken intestines, kimchee stew, and seafood pancake. We loved EVERYTHING, but the top three (in no particular order) were the short ribs, chicken, and chicken intestines. Trust me on the intestines. Even if you feel squeamish about eating intestines, I would recommend that you try it. The flavor of grilled peppers and onions really go well with the chewy intestine make it a great dish to share and snack on.

I tried the boiled silkworm pupae on another visit (first time trying it ever). While I wouldn't say it's for everyone, I did enjoy the savory and almost medicinal flavor of the broth and the pupae. Lots of garlic in the broth. Hey, what's the point of having so many cuisines available to you if you don't try something that makes your heart pound a little harder, right? And who knows? You may be pleasantly surprised at...

Came with a group of friends after being recommended this spot. The interior is nice and cozy and our server was kind and respected that we were just snacking, drinking and hanging out. We never felt rushed. Ordered the tteokbokki and ramen and it was decently spicy with the perfect texture. The winner was the KFC we had in their sweet and spicy sauce. Came with pickled daikon cubes and a small shredded cabbage side. The most unfortunate part was that we parked on 37th and telegraph (in front of the chapel, extremely close to the main road, and across the street from "Big Daddy's Chinese Restaurant")-- and one of our car's back passenger window was smashed in. The area was well lit from the chapel lights too. They didn't take anything from the vehicle but they did rummage through the trunk. Working on getting the local camera footage.

Our experience was ultimately ruined by the car vandalism. We absolutely loved the spot. We had discussed, prior to leaving the restaurant, that we'd return to try more food as the setting is intimate and friendly, but we'd be afraid...

This place has turned into our "go to" Korean BBQ/bar spot. If we're only in it for the BBQ, we'll probably go somewhere else, but if we want to hang out and have a good time while enjoying some good food, we go here.

Food - The food is good. My friends and I have never been disappointed with the food here. I don't claim to be a Korean BBQ connoisseur, but everything I've tried I wouldn't mind getting again. I especially recommend their fried chicken in brown (peanuty?) sauce.

This is one of the few places I know of that provides you with rice paper wrap for your food. Maybe it's a different style of Korean BBQ preparation, but my friends and I prefer it to the non-rice paper style.

Atmosphere - it is what you'd expect at a Korean bar... alcohol..smoke...loud patrons playing drinking games... small bathrooms...korean music in the background

The reason I'm only giving them 4 stars is because of the times I've been there, the amount of side dishes we received always varied (sometimes 4... sometimes 8...sometimes more). I can't help but think they are...

Great food selection in a definitely hip Korean restaurant with a cool decor with tin walls and little street feel with tables in little private booths. Parking is a little dicey on this side of Telegraph but it is Oakland. I would say food is definitely on the pricey side like your typical Korean joint but the portions are great. Soups are really good and they don't skimp on ingredients. We had a rice cake soup as well as Kim chi pancake and bulgogi. Mandoo is was good too. The Korean side dishes were fresh. But definitely cost was up. Still I recommend going to go drinking and a good time. Chicken was decent but I wouldn't say the best Korean fried chicken I've had. Probably needs a little more sizzle to the seasoning. We got the sweet and spicy but next time will try the garlic soy

Ordered fried chicken wings (perfect) and beef japchae (delicious). And, even though I wasn't eating at the restaurant, they there in some side dishes. Dear Baby-Jesus the macaroni fruit salad is so freaking good. The shop has street parking and a bunch of Korean-style small booths for some privacy and noise isolation. I'll definitely go back to admire the free fashion show :)
