Checkers — Restaurant in Ocala

If I could rate it below zero, I would. The most ghetto checkers I've ever been to. Went through drive thru and asked several times if speaker was working as no one had the common sense or customer care to simply press the button on the head set and say "we'll be with you in a moment " and if speaker WAS out, they should have put a cone out, blocking that particular drive thru. After waiting more than 5 mins at the speaker, I drove up to the window. The female employee at the other window signaled to the other female employee, letting her know a car was at the window. The other lady never even looked our way. After I witnessed her serve 3 cars on the other side, one which pulled up at the same time we did and the one that pulled up after. After water splashed the window, lady in the back finally walks over with an ugly attitude, Still didn't open the window and stated she was not going to serve us with our attitude as if I still wanted either of them to serve us at that point, worried about what they might do to our food. They forget we pay their Bill's and we don't have to spend our hard earned money with them. I called corporate which is something I've never in history have done, with specific date and time the incident occurred so that could pinpoint which 2 employees were on the clock that day and time and was told someone would call me. Two weeks later still no phone call. Smh. Worst service ever. I'm all about reviews, not just bad ones when I have a bad experience, but good ones for exceptional customer service. So this will be my first time leaving a bad review on this account but it needs to be said. As a manager, there’s a way you should conduct yourself! A simple explanation could have resolved everything. I GET IT! Working in customer service can be so hard at times but you have the power to change a situation but I guess some people weren’t taught how to be professional. We had a misunderstanding with the menu; We all have a right to question anything we are paying for. The AI thing that’s being used for drive thru is no help either… okay, the gentleman in the drive thru tried his best to understand what we were trying to ask but it wasn’t working out and he asked his manager to come and assist. The manager was so rude! Quick to shut people up and walk away. I then had to tell the man at the window what we were trying to ask and he understood and helped us understand (Btw, thank you Angelo- they should give you her position!). We then requested the manager to come back to the window so we could let her know that we weren’t trying to cause an issue; we really just needed a simple understanding- instead she did it AGAIN! Shut us up and wanted to say “Didn’t he already answer your question”. Please do some mandatory training on customer service before letting just ANYBODY be a manager; situations like this will cause businesses to lose customers quickly! Accurate reviews on this place. When I went to checkers I asked her a simple order and two for four hamburger and chicken sandwich with a Cherry Coke light ice

I waited in line for roughly 10 minutes with only one car ahead of me

When I got to the window I was giving my food and drink

When I was giving my drink I noticed it was a very light brown color so I took a sip and it turned out to be extremely sweet tea so I asked the gentleman I said hey this is sweet tea I ordered Cherry Coke can I please get a Cherry Coke

He took the drink dump it out and then drink machine didn't wash it out and proceed to put another product into the cup which still had a little bit of tea in it

Handed it back to me and I didn't want to make a big deal so I decide to say well if it's Cherry Coke with a taste of tea so be it

Turned out it was diet Coke and semi flat

Personally I would have rather had the roll-off rain from a dirty roof than drink diet coke

So I said hey bud this is diet Coke can I please get a Cherry Coke Don't worry about the ice

He dumped it out again didn't clean out the cup and filled it with regular Coke which was also flat

That's the last effort I gave...
