Tasty Bowl — Restaurant in Ocala

Look up tasty bowl Ocala health inspection on google, they fail over and over again. How are they still allowed to be open? Each time they are inspected that have 13, 15 health code violations, many of them “high priority”. Roaches on the counters and in the cookware, not hand washing, expired raw meat they intend to serve, “mold like substances or slime” on food preparation surfaces, on and on… unfortunately, I didn’t know this before I went to eat here. I got the orange chicken and egg rolls. This was the worst food poisoning I have had in my entire life, and I have a strong gut. I know for a fact it was due to the food I ordered here because it was the only thing I ate that day… and the last thing I was able to eat for days… This place needs to be shut down, it’s an actual risk to the community. Don't get the Mapo Tofu. Not Authentic. Has peas, carrots, and the same sweet brown sauce they probably put on twenty other things on the menu. no meat, obviously no chilis and/or sichuan peppercorn, and certainly not spicy (and I specified extra spicy) or having the mala flavor profile at all. For a 12 dollar+ meal I expect a bit more. Two stars for this item without considering the rest of the menu. Would have been one star, but at least it was edible and not completely disgusting. There may be other things that are worthwhile, but I will not be coming back to find out, as I continue my search for authentic recipes at a chinese...

Having just moved here from Honolulu, I was delighted to find Tasty Bowl just down the street. We had their WonnTon soup, which I would order again, but am looking forward to trying their stir fry bowls in the future.

The food was fresh, hot, tasty and delivered quickly. Cashier was really friendly and helpful. Prices are what I'd expect locally but much less expensive than Honolulu!

The dining area is clean and spacious and the digital menu boards are attractive and well organized, making the task of choosing from their extensive menu a breeze.
