River Coffee — Restaurant in Oconomowoc

I just went to this cafe for the first time this morning/afternoon and was very impressed! I want this place to get the recognition and traffic it deserves. The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming; the environment is extremely clean and pretty. There's plenty of windows and good energy. The protein bite was great, and Matt took the time to explain to me what was in them and where everything was sourced (not to mention he made them himself, and pretty much everything else in the shop is made in-house with locally sourced products...yes!!). I also had a raspberry mango smoothie and customized latte... both were made with care and tasted amazing. The syrups have their ingredients clearly labeled to all customers and I was happy to see that they didn't contain a thousand unnecessary additives or chemicals. The other staff were delightful and added to the positive, welcoming, and peaceful experience I had. River Coffee is an absolutely wonderful place to grab a high quality coffee drink, smoothie, or food items. Their choice to go with a Wisconsin based coffee supplier that has a great mission speaks volumes about what they are trying to accomplish in the Lake Country area. It’s a high quality coffee too. Great flavor and goes so well with their tasty concoctions. I highly recommend giving them a try and supporting this local company. Also, they aim to help the community through supporting local initiatives which is awesome in my book. River Coffee is inside of Thirst Church which seeks to provide a welcoming atmosphere to the public 7 days a week. For parents, this is a must stop. River Coffee is the BEST! Every single time I walk in I feel welcomed by the amazing staff! They always go above and beyond to make my experience (and coffee) worth the 25 minute drive to get there.
