Cpl Ray's Coffee — Restaurant in Odessa

Manager is extremely unhappy and spreads negativity amongst staff members. Negative vibe upon entering coffee shop. Had a meeting there yesterday with volunteers who help vets and first responders with PTSD and other mental issues. Had to sit at the bar under TV bc there was one man occupying large table. Asked assistant manager to turn sound down on the TV while we were in our meeting. She said the TV was for all customers. She begrudgingly turned volume down. Extremely bad attitudes from management. I've been a frequent customer since you opened your shop many years ago. Management needs to find employment elsewhere because they very obviously dislike their jobs. Awesome smoothies and iced tea! I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but I hear lovely things about theirs. The shop itself is wonderful, fast and free wifi and a chill atmosphere. However, the service is less than stellar, to say the least. Almost every time I'm there, the girls are just on their phones and quite rude. Last time I was in, a blonde girl with glasses was actually sitting in the drive-through window itself with her butt hanging out, as she listened to something on her earphones and didn't even see me as I stood at the counter for a while. I would be upset to pull up and see a teenager's rear end hanging out of a window from which I was attempting to order. The staff was not friendly, engaging, or kind... but everyone has bad days. I will be back, and would love to update this review to reflect what I see in the potential of this awesome coffee shop!

I went earlier today, they are busy, I will give them that. But I was ignored for a while, then when I placed my order they were not friendly, AND they COMPLETELY forgot my order!because the couple AFTER me received theirs before mine (they even waved at them!! In my face but not one greeting to me!) , and they made a comment and asked if we ordered the same thing, which hearing those customers prompted the staff to ask about my order. And not friendly nor apologetic about forgetting it! So not sure if my vibe rubs people the wrong way, or a clash of frequencies. I know me not returning there , is no loss of customers, but I will not be back. For multitude of reasons, 1 being I am only here for contract work, and was in temp rental, so I don't see a need to go out of my way for bad service, the drink was good, I ordered the gingerbread chai iced large, delicious!
