Devoted Grind Coffee House — Restaurant in Odessa

Wanted to like this place. Been going for the last few months in an effort to support local business but my experience has left much to be desired. In the roughly ten times I have ordered the dough boy biscuit - maybe twice I have gotten a good sandwich. Every time the biscuit is either hard as a rock or they give me sausage instead of bacon. The jelly was included in the box maybe 3 times. Today the bacon was burned to carbon. That makes at least 2 occasions I just had to throw it out for being inedible. When I notified them on a subsequent visit there was zero effort to make it right. One time I ordered coffee with my food and they served a whole slew of people before I had to remind them they had passed me over. I also do not like how they seem to want a tip for drive thru service. No other place makes me sign the receipt at the window but I am sure that is why this...

On Saturday, I had gone into this coffee shop with no idea on what I wanted. I had brought my kids along and while most people hate how rambunctious they are. The sweet blonde cashier wearing a black skirt was so sweet and attentive to them. Even asking them what they wanted, she let them have their big kid moment and it was so precious. I have been having problems with getting sugar free lattes that taste good at other coffee shops . They either give me the sugar filled syrups or it tastes nasty. This sweet little girl took her time and made sure my experience was amazing, and her recommendation was amazing. Will be going back. This will now be my signature shop, she also told me how to order my drink so I never have problems. Great...

My experience is always warming, welcoming, and filled with kind service. I find joy in walking in and just feeling all the prayer that is going on and has taken place between those walls. I have shed tears of joy and tears of sadness with friends and brothers at those tables and I know I’m not alone.

I am a hot coffee drinker and simple… house drip with honey and whole milk is my go to every time and it never fails to be soooo good. I did get a wild bone the other day and tried a Dubai Matcha and OMG!! You are missing out if you have not tried it.
