Review of Dumplins and Amigos
Dumplins and Amigos is the kind of hidden gem that you’re always hoping to find when you’re looking for a hearty, satisfying meal and an inviting atmosphere. Nestled in a cozy location, this spot perfectly balances comfort food with excellent service, making it a go-to place for breakfast, lunch, or just whenever you’re craving something delicious.
From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm, which is becoming a rarity these days. You can tell that the team at Dumplins and Amigos takes pride in what they do and genuinely values their customers. It’s not just about the food here—it’s about creating an experience that keeps you coming back for more.
Now, let’s talk about the breakfast. I opted for the 3 Meat Platter with French toast, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing. The platter came loaded with generous portions of crispy bacon, savory sausage, and perfectly cooked ham. Each bite was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The French toast was the star of the show—thick, golden-brown slices with just the right amount of sweetness. They were soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the edges, and dusted with powdered sugar that melted into the warm syrup. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you thinking about it long after you’ve left.
What I appreciated most about the breakfast wasn’t just the quality of the food but the attention to detail. Everything was hot, fresh, and clearly made with care. It’s obvious that Dumplins and Amigos uses high-quality ingredients, and they don’t cut corners. Whether it’s the perfectly seasoned meats or the buttery, fluffy texture of the French toast, every element of the meal was spot-on.
The environment adds to the charm. The décor is inviting and relaxed, striking the perfect balance between rustic and homey. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time enjoying your meal, whether you’re with friends, family, or just treating yourself. The staff checks in at just the right intervals—attentive but never intrusive—making sure your coffee cup is always full and you have everything you need.
What truly sets Dumplins and Amigos apart is the combination of friendly service and exceptional food. It’s clear that the people here love what they do, and that passion shines through in every interaction and every plate they serve. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience that leaves you feeling full and genuinely happy.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Dumplins and Amigos is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu, but for now, I’ll be dreaming about that 3 Meat Platter with French toast. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further. Dumplins and Amigos has earned a permanent spot on my list...
Read moreWas craving a nice brunch after church— but the devil sure did take the wheel on this one.
The ambiance was traditional cafe style, everything was averagely clean.
The food tasted like it was prepared in a very lazy manner. They didn’t go out of their way to add any flavor or a speck of salt/pepper.
1/5 Chips and salsa
The chips were thick and stale and the salsa was water with a couple largely chopped tomatoes and jalapeños
1/5 Huevos Mexicanos
The eggs were very dry and crisp with no flavor.. somehow I couldn’t even taste the jalapeño or tomato (tomato should’ve added some moisture.) They were served with refried beans that were unseasoned and already dry and flakey on top. The hash browns weren’t even edible- they were soggy and tasted like old oil.
1/5 Chorizo plate
Chorizo tasted like it does straight out of the package and then like it was then mixed with the eggs without a drop of salt, pepper, or seasoning.
The melted cheese on the plate glued the beans together so to take a bite the beans had to be severed through.
Flavors remained alike with the plate above for beans and hash browns.
Oh gosh, I almost forgot the worst part
THE TORTILLAS taste like the packaged mission ones. Warmed in a way that made them lose all their pliability.
3/5 The pancakes had decent flavor, however, I’m not sure how long they were sitting out because I had to use a knife to saw...
Read moreWe have eaten there before, and the food and service was great but today that wasnt the case. They were very busy and it is understandable that there might be some mix ups but the older lady with short black hair that was trying to seat us was SO rude! Our buzzer went off at the same time as a table for 9 and she confused us with them. When we were sitting down, after giving her our buzzer and her not even looking at it, i guess she caught her mistake but instead of saying so she decided to be rude to us instead and just kept just saying "no!" She asked us for our buzzer and my husband told her he already gave it to her and we got another "no!". She then tried to give us the buzzer for the table of 9 and asked us what number was on our buzzer, when my husband said what number we got another "no!" We ended up just leaving. ...
